Elites Desk
DABSMO (London, United Kingdom) on Jan 11, 2026
There’s a upwards slope from Uber drop off to check-in and you will be dragging your bags for miles. The Elites Desk was not staffed properly. Guest at the desk was being served but it took forever to be seen. Staff on the Elites desk was not pleasant. Staff on other desks were far more pleasant and professional which makes no sense at all. Had we known, the Elites desk would have just been avoided. Room appeared to not have been used recently. When the tap was turned on, it sputtered horribly so left it running for awhile to clear out stale water lurking in the pipes. Panel under the sink was loose/lopsided suggesting either it was not installed properly when they did the refurbishment or damage inflicted by a prior guest had never been addressed. Questionable refurbishment as there was an unpainted strip of wood over-the closet - why a strip of unpainted wood was needed at all is unclear. The outlets on lamps, etc were loose such that they were unusable - resorted to using the wall outlet likely used by housekeeping to hoover as that was the only one that worked reliably. The view of the Strip was the only benefit of staying here. Exactly what benefits the resort fee provided is unclear. In other cities, the resort fee included something.
Great location, friendly staff, and poor air quality in my room with super noise air condition

Great location, the room's air conditioning ruined everything as I could not sleep. Since it was very noisy. The air quality is also not good.
Family stay

I was extremely and pleasantly surprised with my stay at Excalibur with my 9 year old son. It's about as family friendly as it gets for staying on the strip. Great prices and very nicely updated. I stayed here about 25 years ago on my first trip to Vegas and didn't think I'd be back once I could afford one of the nicer places. Excalibur is perfectly fine, great location, great food options, and easy access to the rest of the strip of greater Vegas if you have a car. Parking is easy. Highly recommend skipping the front desk and going through the MGM app for parking and your room key. It worked great every time. Zero weird issues that you sometimes get with that kind of new tech. I can attest that MGM's app works much better and more consistently than Caesar's.
Excalibur hotel stay in Las Vegas

There was no “experience” with a human to check-in. We did it on a computer and never interacted with humans, not even to get the room key. As for the room, there were numerous outlets that didn’t work in our room. We upgraded to the resort tower (from the royal tower) and were glad to have the extra space of a living room outside of our bedroom plus we got a refrigerator, but there was no microwave or coffee maker. In addition, there was a lot of noise outside the room at night despite being on the 28th floor. The constant helicopters and “train or boat horn” for celebrating the hockey goals were too loud for comfort. The windows should block noise, but don’t. We were not impressed with the restaurant options at Excalibur, but the ones at the New York New York casino across the street on the pedestrian bridge were excellent. We ate there almost every meal and even went to their bars in the evening for entertainment. The smoking in the Excalibur casino was heavy and all of our clothing stunk of cigarettes and we had to shower before bed every night. The other casinos had much better ventilation systems and they were much nicer, but it was impossible to avoid the smoke in Excalibur because you have to walk though the casino to get to the elevators for the hotel rooms.

Absolutely satisfied! My family and I had a great time during the time we stayed in the Excalibur hotel resort and other MGM Resorts. I definitely recommend Excalibur to anybody who might be planning to visit Las Vegas.
