Use to be a great low budget casino

Matthew C (Middletown, Delaware) on Feb 19, 2026

Excalibur is what it needs to be, but it’s just missing a few touches. It’s a cheap, low-budget casino hotel, and at one point I honestly thought it was the best in this category. The location is good since you can easily walk to several other casinos on the Strip, and the property still has a fun, casual vibe with plenty of food options and gaming. I specifically came here to play table games because, even though it’s a low-budget casino, I’ve always had fun playing here in the past. That said, the gaming floor used to be great, but recent changes haven’t made it as enjoyable as it once was, and service can be hit or miss depending on the time of day. Overall, it’s still a fair value for the price—just not quite as strong as it used to be.

Staff was great. Luchie is like Family

D9671SSjamiec (Indio, California) on Feb 17, 2026

Arrived a few minutes early berofe check in but Luchie said not to worry and took care of us like family would. She even followed up with a call shortly after confirming everything as I requested. Over all fantastic experience dealing with Luchie. Honestly, if you dont want to have to worry about anything just find her behing the feont desk and you will be well taken care of. Other than that, Hotel is great! So much to see and do here. Rooms are clean and shower was excellent. Will definitely book here next time I am in town just cause of the way Luchie treaded me at checkin.

Great Casino but COME PREPARED

cindyl701 (Naples, Florida) on Feb 17, 2026

We really enjoyed our stay at the Excalibur in Las Vegas, mainly because of the casino, which is hands-down the best part of staying here. To be completely honest, the rooms are older & need a complete renovation. We stayed in the Resort Tower, and the hallway was very dimly lit — like something out of a horror movie. No mini fridge in the room, we had to call to get someone to bring one up on a trolly..if you have medication that needs refrigeration they MUST bring you one at no cost! A manager told us that! It’s not modern or refreshed, so just set your expectations accordingly. I was very glad I brought my own Clorox wipes and wiped everything down myself, housekeeping does not know what cleaning means ???????. It was pretty dirty…f you’re particular about cleanliness, definitely come prepared. I felt much better after doing that. ** AKWAYS CHECK YIUR BED FIR BED BUGS BEFORE UNPACKING! Our room was ok, just old Also, be aware that there are hotel employees in the lobby who will try to get you to sign up for a timeshare seminar. They’re persistent. You have to be firm and just say no and keep walking, also you’ll get accosted by a staff member wanting you to buy show tickets, EVERY-TIME YOU WALK IN OR OUT OF THE ELEVATOR AREA????????????????????? Now for the good part — the casino. It’s bright, lively, and feels updated compared to the hotel, they’re always playing great music. The energy is upbeat and fun, and honestly, the vibe is better than many casinos on the Strip and even downtown. It feels welcoming and exciting every time you walk through. That atmosphere alone is why we would come back. One more tip: skip the buffet. It was not good and definitely not worth it. Overall, if you go in knowing the rooms are dated but you’re there for the casino energy, Excalibur delivers. We’d absolutely return for that casino vibe.

Extremely Basic hotel.

Bigcro (Oak View, California) on Feb 17, 2026

We stayed in the newly renovated resort tower. The room is very basic. Pros, we had a great view of the strip. The bed was good, the room had a private safe, and very small fridge. The negative, the carpet is old, the bathroom floor, was new tile, but VERY slippery, and that floor had nothing on it, to make it slippery. So folks returning from a night of drinking, can be dangerous for them. I was sober and had to walk slow. No alarm clock. No USB outlets. The water pressure was HORRIBLE! Still has an old style AC unit, which was loud.. The TV only had a few working channels. Check in, I asked if I could do check in with an actual agent (yes there was a line for that) but the worker, who keeping the line moving, was extremely rude, and wouldnt let me. She yelled at me, saying I must use the kiosk. The kiosk we used, froze. So another employee came over to help. She was very nice! She gave us a free up grade( high floor, with view) Our daughter and her boyfriend were given the wrong room, and she also took care of them. Sadly the smell of cigarette smoke is much worse then it used to to be. Would I stay there again, if I’m looking to save money, maybe!?! We were in town over Valentines weekend, so yes, prices were really high everywhere…

Great value, lovely room.

kmillen1958 (London, United Kingdom) on Feb 17, 2026

Was worried about what to expect because I’d seen so many bad reviews but we were pleasantly surprised. Our room in the Resort Tower was lovely, a little dark and inadequate lighting but that’s typical of many hotel rooms. I would definitely stay here again.
