Very helpful staff

Miguel in housekeeping did a great job finding an extra luggage rack for me. I saw him in the hall helping another guest. After getting his attention and explaining my request, he called the from desk and found an extra rack for me. Within 5 minutes, my concern was resolved. Thanks Miguel !

Beware of hidden fees, especially parking they charge $28

Manuel S on May 31, 2025

This hotel charged me $28for parking. I try to keep the feet hidden. It’s the worst hotel. I will never come back. They are not that kind of hotel to demand $28for parking. I will not come back. They want to charge $22 for breakfast. A lot of places in the area are free included. The hotel is OK way overpriced for the location.

No transportation + parking fees

Let me start off by saying: hotel is nice. Staff are friendly. And room was accommodating. We got the view we asked. WARNING ?? However, be prepared to pay parking fee...every day; fyi Disneyland goers. On top of that. No shuttles. Be prepared to pay city bus to the entrance (and back).....every day of your visit! ?? And yet....I'm still being charged 127$ for parking.. After a long exhausting day of walking around Disney. Thanks a lot Cambria hotels! Never again. Just a warning to all of you families out there!

A wonderful family friendly hotel.

We picked this particular hotel due to the fact that we were travelling with our children and grandchildren and loved the pool and slides for the grandkids. Also we were happy that breakfast was included as that does make it easier for everyone to get up when they want and eat what they like. We were so pleased when we got there at 2 pm and our rooms were ready. How great, we checked in and unpacked and then off to the pool they went. The hotel is in a great location, an 8 minute walk to the Toy Story Shuttle that takes you right to Disneyland or a 20 minute walk to the entrance of the Park. Most mornings we just took an Uber which took no time and then evenings we took the shuttle. The rooms were spacious, however I would have given this hotel a 5 star but for the carpet in our room on the 5th floor really needed to be washed. It had a lot of spots and stains on it. Also housecleaning always seemed to be cleaning our rooms around 5 when we just wanted to shower and get ready to clean up after a long day. We had asked for 3 rooms all on the same floor but were given 2 on one floor and one on the 8th floor. With the elevator system they have in place you cannot go to another floor without a room key, so it made it a bit inconvenient when I had to check in on the grandkids on the higher floor. I did eventually get a key to their room so that worked, however we had booked 6 months in advance and was surprised that they could not accomodate our request for the rooms being on the same floor. The breakfast buffet was great for everyone as there were so many choices. The staff worked so hard keeping tables clean and food stocked. I don't see why some reviews mentioned that the buffet was not good it was more than fine ( I am not a breakfast person but found everything good). We enjoyed the happy hour and the lobby is a great place to just hang out. We also did go out to the food places just outside the hotel and they were great options but then you could walk 8 minutes and find other places to eat. The grandkids loved the pool and slides and during the week it was great however on Saturday and Sunday it was chaos. You couldn't even get in the pool as there were so many people, and I felt it was very unsafe. I couldn't find a chair to sit on as all the chairs had towels on them so you were not sure if they were taken or just left there. After standing and looking for 25 minutes I gave up which was so disappointing as I had specifically chosen this hotel for the pool and slides for the family (I don't know how you solve this problem but it had to be mentioned). I must mention the exceptional customer service by Amanda. She was always smiling and willing to answer any and all questions I had. She wrote down directions for me and always greeted me by name when I came into the lobby. Totally top notch and such an asset to your resort!! I want to end by saying we very much enjoyed and would return to the Cambria, it helped make our family vacation a memorable event.

You may like it, but you’ll probably have some complaints

Overpriced. Watch out for all the hidden fees at checkout. Kitchenettes are seriously lacking many things like dishes for example. All towels smell like chemicals. Housekeeping does the bare minimum and we had to keep asking for toilet paper. Food service got my daughter’s $25 nacho order wrong FOUR times. It was just cheese on chips. How do you screw that up? The one guy working there smiled the whole time in a mocking way like I was being punk’d. The other guy tried to make things right but there seemed to be a real communication issue about what nachos are. Breakfast was gross and my kids didn’t want to eat it. The eggs were like instant eggs. Very disorganized with people putting their hands everyone and scrambling all over the place. Security is a joke and just sits around on their phones. I got harassed by some drunk women on the pool deck, moving my kids’ stuff when we were waiting for our food order. Yelling at me and trying to bully me out of the fire table. Thankfully I can stand my ground but where was the two security guards then? Eating snacks and staring at their phones. That being said, my kids loved the pool area. It was appreciated after long days at the parks. However, it is not as big as they make it look in photos and it’s open to the paying public, not just hotel guests. The room was nice to come back to as well because it felt clean and comfortable. Dual showers are great for two kids needing to get the intense chlorine off at the same time. For a newer hotel many things have already broken like the closet doors and some laundry machines for example. Room keys for elevators worked half the time. Service was pretty meh. Some staff were better than others. This hotel is far from the parks and the Toy Story lot. We tried to walk to the Toy Story lot the first day and it was really long. So we ended up Ubering back and forth multiple times a day, which adds up. You may like it here, you will probably find some faults. Not sure or I recommend it or not. Maybe if you receive an excellent deal. Oh and very dangerous!! My daughter leaned against a pillar at the front entrance that was at least 100 pounds and it fell over!! Thankfully she wasn’t hurt but if it landed on her it would have been a hospital trip for sure. Staff did not care when we told them and other guests helped us move it over to the side of the hotel.
