A not so Ho-Ho-Ho Stay

FlyingBarnster (Claremont, California) on Dec 30, 2025

The hotel is in a great location, even if you are walking, though wear some good shoes. The grounds are pleasant but our stay was marred because of a lazy maid who, rather than placing new sheets on the bed, simply readjusted the sheets. Imagine my wife's surprise when later that evening she discovers a used straw stuck to her rear end. Also, though I may be in the minority, I was very disappointed to see that the books which had formed a small library retreat had been replaced with dozens of game stations.

Dissapointing

Will C on Dec 24, 2025

This hotel is now fairly tired - the grounds are lovely, but the rooms and fitness centre are unchanged for a decade, and it's really starting to show. Watch out for extortionate pet fees too ($150 for a single night)

Needs update

Echiang88 on Dec 23, 2025

It is a very old hotel and it does not stand up to the Hyatt Regency name. Facility looks great and well maintained but the rooms are just not what is expected.

Place is an overpriced dump.

Xavi C on Dec 10, 2025

Staff was rude and aggressive. Work was being done in our hallway and the roof above us all day long. Music by the pool was obnoxiously loud. Hotel is dump.

This hotel is not appearing and needs better management.

Don't feel I was treated as an Hyatt Explorist as all. Feels they don't need me, and I will never go back again. The hotel has an old style layout, spread on a hill. Some rooms are so far away from the lobby, including the room they gave me. When I asked them to look for a better room, the answer is "that's all you get!". The car parking is far away down a big hill, and I don't understand why still charging guests $40/night.
