Motel 6 charging Ritz Carlton prices. Unbelievable. Plus $40 per day!!! for open air self parking. Had a wild party at the pool after midnight outside my room. Hotel staff reaction to my complaint? “Sorry for the inconvenience, there was a wedding at the hotel”. Sorry for the inconvenience, that’s all? I could have stayed in Paris, London or Rome at a decent hotel for less. And they add all kinds of BS extra charges. Unbelievable! Stay away from that …..fill in the blank.. Won’t EVER stay there, for free! The worst Motel 6 experience in my life!

This hotel is a miss. What a shame as it is in a good location and the lobby is updated. The rooms are old and shabby. Bed not comfortable. Needs a major upgrade. Hidden fees: Valet parking is $55/night and self park is $45. If you stay at the hotel overnight that is considered 2 days of parking. Resort fee $40 plus tax. So much potential but time for a major upgrade. There are better options nearby. Spend some time researching.

Room is smaller but very clean. Breakfast was good. Not excited about the dirty hot tubs. Would stay again because of the accessibility to our business activities. Close to Balboa, Newport and shopping

I have certain expectations when staying at a Hyatt "Regency" Hotel as they are at the higher tier of the group´s hotels. However, the place is completely outdated. They never did any updates for at least 20-25 years. Not what you expect at a hotel of this class, especially what they charge for room, resort fees and parking. The staff is also not very helpful with luggage when arriving or leaving. Total disappointment for me.

The property was a significant disappointment. The landscaping was lovely, but the entire property needs a remodel. The outdoor furniture was dirty, ripped and moldy. The rooms had a bit of a smell. The laundry carts were stored outside my door 24/7- not sure if it was clean or dirty. For the price, the experience did not match and it felt more like a motel than Hyatt regency property. I was hoping to spend some downtime at the resort from a conference, but sadly did not .
