Flaming mexican coffee

Rome Y on Jun 15, 2024

Dinner at Panchos at Hoteles Solaris. Palma was our waiter (we've been served by him before) and he did his usual great service and a wonderful show making flaming Mexican coffee. Lots of fun watching him put the flame on and very tasty drink!

Restaurant experience

Brian O on Jun 15, 2024

Angel Captain was a great help getting our group seated together and we had a wonderful experience! I would recommend reaching out personally to the staff at the restaurants to help with your accommodations that the app does not let you do. We had a enjoyable time.

Amazing Resort!

Escape19437159567 on Jun 15, 2024

We stayed at Royal Solaris as a group of 8 in May 2024. We stayed for 9 days and are planning another trip there in December! The staff were great, and there was plenty of entertainment and great food. Claudia at the morning omelet bar was always so kind and pleasant! She remembered our orders/how we liked our eggs, and we looked forward to seeing her every day ?? Our server, Matias, at the members-only breakfast restaurant was also super friendly and provided great service! We enjoyed participating in daily water aerobics and loved that there were different instructors daily to keep things fresh! Fernanda and Johnny were two of our favourite instructors, but they are all fantastic! We also attended the Zumba class in the upstairs studio gym, which was a lot of fun with our instructor, Sergei. We also used the upstairs studio and downstairs gym daily. There are tons of workout equipment and machines, including weights, cardio machines, punching bags, medicine balls, rowers, etc. The pools were clean and a great size. The main pool is great for music and games (they have the daily activities posted on the chalkboard of the towel hut each day). The pool bar waiter, Daniel, was fun to chat with and made sure we had what we needed! The adults-only pool area is nice for relaxing with an ocean view, and there is also a hot tub (more like a warm one). One day, there was a “foam party” in the main pool, which was a lot of fun; they had music, bubbles/foam, a giant beach soccer ball, and dancers. It was also Star Wars Day (May 4th), so the staff were dressed as aliens, and some wore stormtrooper helmets. One night, they had a "Pink Party" on the beach. There was a DJ and dancers, everyone was wearing pink and the lights were also pink - it was a lot of fun! There are servers who come around to take your drink orders by the pool, beach, and at the evening shows/events/bars. If you are a resort member, there is a "Premier Bar" with premium liquor, couches, TVs, tables, etc. The à-la-carte restaurants were all great, but Zai was AMAZING! We went there twice and wished we could go back. Erick was our amazing server who made sure we all got what we wanted and took customizations with ease! Make sure to read the weekly schedule available in the lobby because the events and restaurant menus change nightly. For example, Panchos restaurant had a "Regional Menu" one night and a "Mexican Menu" the next. When you go there, ask for the special tequila fire coffee from Palma! Our server, Fabiola, was also very quick and helpful. Marco Polo is another great restaurant. Rosemarinus was our least favourite out of all the à-la-carte restaurants due to less variety/being similar to the buffet. Some nights, we went to the buffet if we didn’t have a reservation for an a la carte (make sure you reserve on their website/app the day before!), and Alfonso was our favourite waiter! He was always smiling and happy to help. The lunch buffet is similar to the dinner one, so try to get lunch at one of the BBQs they have by the pool or at the sushi bar located outside, across from the buffet! They have different BBQs (e.g., Korean, Jamaican, etc.) most days, but only for an hour or two, so read the schedule so you don't miss out! Sushi is made fresh and customizable; you can ask for whatever you want! I have gluten and dairy allergies, and all restaurants were able to accommodate me. Marco Polo had gluten-free pasta and dairy-free sorbet! There is an ice cream cart that goes around the resort most afternoons, and one day they had the lemon sorbet. Another option for lunch is the pizza made fresh in the outdoor pizza hut by the main pool. There’s also a “snack bar” by the pool with fries, burgers, hot dogs, nachos, etc. The swim-up bar staff are quick and helpful when ordering drinks as well! The Gatsby show was our favourite out of all the shows, other than the Pink Party. As a member, you get to attend a "Gala" one night where there is an outdoor show with fire throwing/juggling, people on stilts, and acrobats doing flips inside rings in the air. One day, it was "kids day" and they had tons of balloons, decorations, and Paw Patrol mascots around the resort. There is also a "members only" bar by the ocean and a lounge area. The server, Rosie, who works there was superb! The waves are big, and few people go into the ocean due to dangers. The rooms are super clean and the housekeepers do a wonderful job cleaning the rooms each day! I forget our housekeeper’s name - maybe Sylvia - but she was lovely! There are also people who come to restock the fridge with beer, soda, and water bottles each day. We always left a couple of dollars by the mini fridge and on the beds, as well as carried them for tips for all the servers throughout the day - they appreciate it very much! Overall, we would highly recommend this resort! Can’t wait to go back :)

Enrigueta and Luiz at the lobby bar were AMAZING! They make the best drinks and have the best personalities. Thank you Enrigueta and Luiz! They keep us up on drinks always. And my personal favorite is how enthusiastic they are when it comes to making us drinks.

Royal Solaris June visit

paulajs2018 on Jun 14, 2024

I have been to many, many all inclusive resorts throughout Mexico and the Caribbean and this place is the worst. I guess I can start with the food. We ate at the Mexican, the Italian and the oriental one. The Oriental was the only one that was decent. Breakfast in the buffet was ok , but you really can’t ruin breakfast. The food seemed low quality is all places. Next are the bars. There is a pool bar that doesn’t open until 10am and closes at 6. Then there is a beach bar that doesn’t open until noon and again closes at 6. The 3 rd and final bar is in the lobby of the hotel and again doesn’t open until 10. I think that closing 2 of the 3 bars at 6pm is crazy and only leaves one alternative. The only beer they serve is Tecate light and dark on tap and it is ONLY served in a small plastic cup that they recycle. The cocktails are also served in this same I would say 6oz cup. The Cabernet wine they serve is awful 12% alcohol with a very strange taste. The room was acceptable and bed was comfortable. I hope people read this before making plans to stay there. The only reason I booked was because it was a promotion I received for buying a timeshare in another great resort for $99 dollars plus all inclusive fee of 112 a day which was required.
