Travel to Jamaica frequently and stayed in 5 star hotels, with luxury hotel views, interiors etc. However, nothing compares to the Holiday Inn (Montego Bay). Stayed here three times, Rooms are basic but very clean (extremely important), the food is good with some real Jamaican cuisines as well as other options e.g. American style food. Choice for all considering that I am quite fussy. Only two points the hotel need to consider, to have clear labelled signs for food items which contain peanuts considering a lot of nut allergy suffers, secondly the hotel need to have more maintenance resources to fix the lift which breaks down quite often (so if you don't like taking the stairs recommend you request the ground floor). Hotel entertainment is fantastic day time activities something for everyone, night time entertainment thoroughly enjoyable.....even have free shuttle service to Margaritaville for the younger crowd. One thing the Port Royal pub in the hotel, stays open until 2/3am but the DJ needs to consider that more than just AMERICANS (rolling my eyes) are staying in the hotel for example a couple times you would a request a song but would have to wait until he has played a lot of hideous American music. Also, even though the hotel plays tasteful reggae music throughout the day/night in the reception. The DJ in the pub needs to consider reducing the amount of explicit slack bashment played to help promote positivity of Jamaica. Overall great real Jamaican experience, 10 minutes from the airport, great location and most of all great staff. Looking forward to coming back January 2025.

I just spent 1 week at this Resort for a family reunion. I must say it was just splendid. Met some wonderful staff. Special kudos goes out to some wonderful servers whenever we dined and certainly remember their names. * Amelia Gayle *Shawn *Natalie *Ricardo *Rohan ( at the Terrace restaurant) *Desmond (who was so accommodating at the JerkHut) What wonderful and cheerful employees. We sincerely want to recognize them and trust IHG do too. Thanks for a memorable stay. The location is just perfect. Beachfront, extremely close to MBJ airport, downtown Mobay and the market.
