Old hotel in Times Square
Marlenes2672 (Vila Nova de Famalicao, Portugal) on Jun 15, 2025
The hotel is well situated in the heart of Times Square and because of that it's impossible to sleep. Very noisy. Because it is an old building, the isolation isn't good and you end up hearing everythjng that is happening on the streets (people shouting, police sirens, music, the other buildings generators, and in the morning, building works). It really wasn't a good experience. The hotel provides breakfast vouchers, but again, it you want to have it in the hotel, which is more convenient, you must pay 6 dollars. We went to the free breakfast spot, Carve, down the road. Small place, too busy, too noisy & crowded. The menu is basic without much offer of drinks, either coffee or orange juice, then pancakes or waffles with fruit or sandwiches or bakery. We found another Carve very near the first one where we could sit and were better served. Staff in the hotel was always helpful. Rooms are big but toilet is very little without space to put your toileteries and smelly (sewage). The room is well cleaned everyday and it provides cleaned towels. You have also access to a safe, iron, hairdryer and coffee/tea and 2 bottles of water. All in all, since we bought as part of a package tour, it was a good deal but wouldn't come back.
A surprisingly quiet and comfortable night sleep within minutes of Times Square.

The most relaxing stay within minutes of everything we wanted to do. The beds are not only comfortable, but most importantly the rooms are quiet! We had no problem getting a good nights sleep, we could never tell we were in the heart of Manhattan. Out the front door it’s less than a five minute walk to Times Square. We went to Broadway shows, the Marquis Theater and the Gershwin are both so close. The staff is friendly and make the stay welcoming.
