It was a decent stay - but it had a few setbacks.

The hotel had a nice location and friendly staff. I would say that the room decor was a bit outdated (not really a problem though!) but the walls are quite thin, and you can hear noises from the hallway and even other rooms at times. If you don't sleep before 11pm you'll most likely be subject to the sounds of extremely loud construction going on outside and the AC which is on 24/7. The room itself offers certain amenities such as AC, and a TV, and in some rooms there are fridges, however this is conditional and not all rooms have them. This kind of sucks because if you want to keep food in your room you have to count on your room having a fridge. One thing I liked was the water & ice stations on each floor in the hallway, which made it easy to replenish your water supply free of charge. However, it pains me to say that the ice machine on floor 8 is out of use. I almost cried when I found out. Speaking of the ice machines, they're SO loud, and God forbid you go during the night to get some ice because you'll end up waking up everyone on your floor. The lifts are fast and the service in the lifts is good, but you have to scan your card and press the button at mach speed if you want to actually get to your designated floor without the lift taking off without you pressing your button. It waits for NO ONE. Also, the doors are only open for about 1-2 seconds, meaning you have to be quick if you want to make it into the lift on time. Breakfast was included in the hotel and had some good options (3 places to choose from!) You get given a voucher to redeem in the hotel restaurant(s) to claim your food. However, although they advertise the food as "free", that only applies for takeout, as dine-in will cost an additional $6.50 per person. Personally I don't really get this but it's whatever - just keep it in mind. The food is really good though (i recommend the French toast!) All in all, it's a decent hotel to stay in due to it's close proximity to Times Square but I'd only really reccomend it for a 4 day stay or less.
