When checking in they asked me for a $300 deposit which they said was hotel policy, which I never was told anything or had read anything & I had already paid everything in full. Then they said they would take out money for each night & whatever was left would be returned if the room was in good condition when we left. We were 3 seniors, believe me-no room party’s! They ended up charging me $183.60 out of the $300. They couldn’t give me a receipt. They told me that Expedia would send me the receipt. So I called Expedia & they said these charges were NEVER mentioned to them as well & they reimbursed me. I was very thankful for that. That should be a warning to anyone signing in there to stay. There is $150 deposit & they return/release it when you check out. That is in their notes but nothing like we were takin advantage of. Downside- No Microwave in room (but we did have a mini fridge) no Vending Machines (we always had to bundle up to go out for ANYTHING). 3 Sisters in a big spacious room on the top floor. Daniel, who took care of luggage & was always helpful & pleasant & Housekeeper Patricia was an Angel & Gift!
Well located for my needs

The East Side location was perfect for this trip and the hotel was as I expected. It is definitely a "boutique" hotel and a bit dated. However, the room was clean, bed extremely comfortable, and staff very friendly!
Just departed from the hotel after a very nice stay.

Just departed from the hotel after a very nice stay. When we checked in, we were mistakenly allocated a room with just one bed, but this wasn’t the hotel’s fault but the booking agent. The lady at reception handled it brilliantly and resolved the issue extremely quickly. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were amazing! Before arriving, I had read some worrying reviews online and wasn’t sure what to expect, but honestly, everything was clean and well maintained. Please don’t be put off by some of the negative reviews. Most of the staff were wonderful, friendly, helpful, and welcoming. However, I do have to mention that one particular receptionist really let the team down. We accidentally locked ourselves out of the room while popping next door and went to reception for help. She repeatedly asked for ID, which of course was in the room. This went on for a couple of minutes before she finally called upstairs to get someone to come to the room to confirm who we were by checking passports.I completely understand the importance of security, but her attitude came across as rude and unreasonable, especially considering she’d seen us coming and going every day and never once acknowledged us the way her colleagues did. Aside from that one encounter, everything else was great. Overall, a pleasant stay and would return.
Don't Understand the Poor Reviews

My experience was fine. Room was small but functional. Clean and everything worked fine. Coffee maker in the cupboard, but why would you....Friendly font desk. Only issue which is not their fault, is location is sort of no man's land between Times Square and the Park, but I think that's also reflected in the rates. Near 5th Ave. if that's what you enjoy. I would not hesitate to recommend.
Welcome Home!

Eric was awesome and helped me check-in early!!! The whole staff was incredibly welcoming, like they were greeting an old friend! Great way to start my stay!!!
