Worst Hotel I’ve Ever Stayed At
Michael S (Great Yarmouth, United Kingdom) on Feb 06, 2026
Let’s start with the team. They are present. That is about as far as it goes. Interaction feels transactional and enthusiasm appears to have been removed some time ago. You get the sense nobody is steering the ship. They are just standing on it while it sinks. Now the swimming pool. Or what used to be one. It is closed and appears to be in the middle of either demolition or quiet surrender. Tiles look smashed or missing. The area looks unsafe and abandoned. It is not under refurbishment. It looks like something went wrong and everyone walked away. The idea of leisure here is laughable. From there it continues its steady decline. Every vending machine on site is broken. All of them. There is an extra machine that looks like it belongs in a scrapyard. It is switched off and closed. Permanently by the look of it. This matters because there is nowhere easy to get even the basics unless you fancy a walk and some resentment. The rooms are rundown in a way that suggests neglect, not age. Power sockets look unsafe. You plug something in and instinctively step back. Nothing feels secure. Nothing feels maintained. The showerhead is a public service announcement. The limescale is the worst I have ever seen. It looks solid. Water struggles to escape through what can only be described as mineral archaeology. The whole place feels like it has been given up on. It looks like a building waiting to be knocked down but accidentally left open to guests. The only reason you know this hotel is still operating is because the lights are on and they still take payment. If you are desperate, this will technically keep the weather off you. If you have any choice at all, take it.
We felt the hotel was a good value for location close to Disneyland, friendly staff, and cleanliness.

Three adults stayed in a spacious suite on the ground floor of Castle Inn & Suites in Anaheim. The room had dated furniture but it was very clean and neat. Housekeeping responded in minutes to a request for blankets. There was very little outside noise. The pool area was clean and not busy with plenty of chairs, chaises and tables, and good lighting. We used a scooter rental service which the front desk was very familiar with. The front desk crew was also helpful with charging the scooter, holding doors open and accepting the scooter at night after returning from Disneyland. The atmosphere was friendly and the location two blocks down from the entrance to Disneyland. The value was good for 3 adults with 2 queen beds and pull-out couch in the other room for three nights which totaled $300 per person.
Fantastic Disney Option

We really enjoyed our stay here. We were visiting Disneyland for our honeymoon, and when we arrived at 11am they already had a room ready, we didnt have to wait for normal check in time. They even upgraded our room to a suite for our special occasion. The room was spacious and very clean! The shower was amazing, the water pressure was the kind that will remove all the dead skin and scratch itches you didnt know you had. We had plenty of space, towels, and all the usual amentities, house keeping came every day to replenish things and make the beds. The hotel staff were fantastic, and it was quiet. Ive stayed in other hotels near Disney and this one is by far the quietest, its a short walk to the park too. The only thing I would change about this hotel is the mattresses, they were a bit firm for my liking, but not so much I wouldn't stay again. I love this hotel for the value, friendly staff, cleanliness, quiet, and proximity to Disney. You wont regret booking this hotel!

Cannot say enough good things about this hotel. The service was amazing. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I was worried it would be too long if a walk to/from Disneyland, but it was fine, even with pushing my mom in a wheelchair. We took breaks each day & stayed late in the parks and the walk was fine. Rooms are clean. Beds were comfortable. Housekeeping did an awesome job & were so accommodating to our needs. Everyone took such great care of us. We were able to leave the ECV in the lobby each night & they charged it for us. It was so nice not having to fit that in our room. All the staff was amazing. They treated us like family. David went above and beyond to help us. We even ran into him in the park & he remembered us! We will definitely be staying here again
The good, the not so good and the ugly.

First let's start with the good! The staff was fantastic. They were friendly anytime we walked into the lobby. We needed an extra blanket and it was delivered faster than anything at any Walt Disney World property we have stayed in FL. We had a group of men standing outside talking in loud voices at almost midnight. We called the front desk and within minutes we heard someone apologize and it was quiet! I had read reviews stating the room was clean. Let's just say it was CLEAN. There wasn't a speck of dust anywhere. I looked. The top of the dresser- spotless. The bed frame- Spotless. The towels? Perfectly white. So was the shower curtain. Tile was clean. I will confess, I was ill during our visit. I had to lift up the toilet seat- It was cleaner than mine at home! The hotel itself was adorable. I loved the castle theme. The not so good: There were gaps where light could come in through the door frame. (But that being said- No bugs were spotted in our room.) While our a/c worked great, it sounded like a jet engine having a bad day. We did not complain about this because we knew it needed a major overhaul and we could deal with the noise. It was cool enough at night we turned it off and slept well. Plus it still functioned perfectly so we were happy to return to a cool room. The ugly- The carpet. It did have a tiny odor to it. Nothing bad just an old hotel smell to the room. They desperately need to replace it. Did dirt show up on my socks/feet from walking around? No. It appeared to be well vacuumed just really old and scary. Would I recommend this property? If you are going to spend your days in the park and not hang out in the room all day- Yes. If you don't mind scary carpet but the rest of the room is perfect- Yes. If you are looking for a resort to just sit poolside and chill- No.
