Disney Trip

Great little place to stay!! It's a couple blocks from Disneyland making it really convenient for travelers planning a Disney trip! The front desk is also very helpful if you ever have any questions. We would definitely recommend. We also really enjoyed how uncrowned the environment was.
Comfortable hotel very close to Disney.

The rooms were very clean and felt comfortable. The location is great, about a 15-minute walk into the Disney parks and close to restaurants and other amenities. The rooms are nothing fancy - a little dated, but all in all was a great comfortable place to stay. The carpets felt a little tacky - they could either use a good scrubbing or replacement. But vacuuming and other general housekeeping was excellent. It is slightly noisy especially in the mornings / evenings as everyone is coming and going. But all in all, not bad at all. If I had one complaint about the room was that the main / master area was the main part of the room, and the two queens were in the separate back bedroom - ideally that would be reversed, but it was still fine. The beds were quite firm - if a memory foam topper was added, it would increase the comfort substantially. Personally, I slept very well, but my wife thought they were a little too hard. But I would definitely consider staying here again!
Dated but comfy

This motel is really close to Disneyland, about a 11 minute walk if you walk slow like me. The rooms are dated but clean. The mattresses do feel old and springy but overall comfy! The staff are very friendly and quick to fix things if needed. Pool is small but not crowded during the day so it works out great! Would recommend!
Great Family Hotel

Anyone looking for a good hotel that’s not expensive pick this one. Beds are firm but comfortable. It’s clean, quiet, safe and convenient to Disneyland and other amenities, i,e, restaurant, drug stores. Free parking is one car per room. This was our 2nd stay. I love the suite set up . The shared bathroom is clean and sufficient, an upgrade would be nice. The water pressure could use some improvement but it was okay. The pool area with hot tub is dated but kids don’t care. We will probably stay here again and I recommend it to young families.
Dated motel with granite countertops

Rating: Two and a half stars My husband and I brought two of our grandkids to Disneyland on August 6-8 and, after looking at a few hotels within walking distance of the parks, booked the family suite at the Castle Inn & Suites in Anaheim. I’ve waited a couple of weeks to sit with my thoughts before posting this review. This hotel is about middle of the road, price-wise. There are many, many hotels near Disneyland – most offering shuttle service, some within parking distance. Because this was my grandson’s first time at the park (he is seven), we opted for the castle-themed place, and relied on the photos on their website for guidance. We also loved the idea of having two bedrooms. In a nutshell, Castle Inn & Suites is an outdated, shabby motel with granite countertops in the bathroom. Despite some updates to the rooms (new lamps with usb and power charging, as explained by the manager), nearly everything is tattered and old. The room we got is a two-bedroom suite. The front bedroom has access to the bathroom, and there is an additional room with two queen beds, where the grandkids slept. That bedroom has a sink, with a countertop where the coffee maker was placed. The first problem we noticed is that there is no outlet for the coffeemaker on the left side of the counter, where the coffeemaker fits. We actually had to move the TV cabinet out of the way so we could plug in the coffeemaker. The place was built at a time that could not have anticipated the need for lots of outlets for lots of devices. We ended up plugging our devices into an outlet near the door, after we discovered that the usb ports on the bedside lamps didn’t fully charge a phone, even after being plugged in all night. Our initial impression of the rooms was that they were clean. However, the bottom of the sheer curtains are covered/coated with days/weeks/months of dust and bugs. Thankfully, we didn’t notice this until the day we were leaving, or I’m not sure we would have stayed. The sheets were pilly (I didn’t even know sheets could develop bumpy pills on them – who knew), and the towels were so old and used that they were stretched nearly flat. Thankfully, I brought my pillow from home. The pillows are lumpy and uncomfortable (per my husband, who never, ever complains about anything). The a/c window units were deafeningly loud in both rooms, but especially in ours. Both nights I honestly thought that motorcycles were revving their engines in the parking lot below our room. I have never heard a/c’s that loud. On the plus side, it was a room that allowed us to accommodate ourselves and the kids, and it was within walking distance of the parks. And the staff in the lobby were all very friendly. Bottom Line: At $900 for the two nights, it was about $450 less (total stay) than one room with two queen beds at the Disneyland Hotel. Knowing what I know now, despite the fact that the Castle Inn did offer two rooms, we will stay at the Disneyland Hotel next time.
