Fun in the Sun

Escape62842756767 (London, United Kingdom) on Sep 09, 2025

The Esmeralda was a very fun hotel. It has an arcade multiple restaurants, a sand area of the pool free pools multiple bars live music escape rooms. spas a kids club and multiple activities a day for any age to do. The food was good but average the wait times for food varied but whilst waiting you could play ping pong outside. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The hotel is gigantic though so if you have any disabilities, I wouldn’t recommend it since there’s a lot of walking and it’s very big and hard to get to certain places. The location is good for the area my only issues with it were the food even though it’s good the wait time and the mediocrity of the food just makes it one star less it isn’t the fanciest hotel but it still isn’t a bad cheap one and if I was in the Palm Desert area I would go again

2+ Decades Of Great Memories

MarkusSTT (Murrieta, California) on Jul 20, 2025

I have dozens of stories to tell over the years of the good times my family had at the Renaissance Esmeralda in Indian Wells. Give me one of those rooms on the sixth floor with the pool view, 620 I think was my favorite room? The kids enjoyed the Sandy Beach and grew to enjoy the whole pool in general. The staff at the pool bar has always been The best, in the old days they would remember us even though we just came maybe once a year. I’m at the age now where I prefer vacationing without a bunch of kids around, but this place is an exception. It’s just one of my favorite chill spots in the greater Palm Springs area.

basic experience, for overly priced resort.

Mireillelly (Los Angeles, California) on Jun 30, 2025

overall experience was okay not excellent. Our room was nice and clean, staff is very friendly and helpful. A lot of hidden fees upon checking out. Just felt overly priced for mediocre experience. It was more about what they can charge you for instead of being more accommodating. Also If we didn't pay attention to all the charges, we were getting charged twice for parking per day. The pool and bar area is nice if you get there early and save a spot, the drinks were great. I would not stay here again though.

BEWARE YOUR RESERVATION TERMS AT THIS PROPERTY!

Marc S on Jun 18, 2025

BEWARE YOUR RESERVATION TERMS AT THIS PROPERTY! Horrible Reservation experience as a long time Marriott patron with Elite Status. Attending for my daughter who was dancing at a competition nearby. 2 weeks out, I had a work situation come up and I had to cancel my reservation. With 2 WEEKS notice, "Claire" in group sales charged me a full nights stay. I have never paid a full night stay to cancel a reservation. We will never book here again, so I hope they are enjoying my 1 night stay charge. Hilton here we come...

Wonderful resort hotel for relaxation by the pool.

tara-stlbrits (O'Fallon, Missouri) on Jun 11, 2025

Stayed here with some friends for a girls trip for about 4 days. Check in was easy, staff helpful and the room was lovely with a nice view over the pool and seating areas. Outside areas were beautiful, with firepits to sit by in the evenings and the pool area was great. Our room was excellent for what we needed, spacious bathroom too, and comfortable bed. A great hotel to feel pampered in, and loved the coffee shop.
