The good: the staff were very friendly. The bad: We were very disappointed with the resort. The food was very boring and repetitive. We were able to book a few a la carte restaurants and they were just okay. The resort needs so many upgrades and maintenance. Not one public bathroom had a working lock on the door. The elevator had a spill on the floor that was there the whole week. The seating in the lobby bar is so stained and gross. The buffet area had so many birds swooping down and eating off the leftovers. Our room was clean, but the floor in the shower was disgusting. The resort does not live up to a four star rating.

Had the best week at this resort. Came to relax in the sun and warm weather. The complete stay was amazing.

This was our second trip to the Golden and we liked it better than last year. We had a room in the newer building and found it to be perfect for us. The only problem was that we were across from the British Pub and it got very noisy when they shut it down at night. Most drunks aren't respectful. The bed was comfortable, the pillows better than last year, the water was hot for showers, the quality of the towels was super. The 7th floor pool was my favorite hang out place until the 11:00 bar opened and the music came on. There is a noisy pool on the ground level and it would be nice if the pool on the 7th floor was designated at the quiet pool. The bedding on the sunbeds was changed on most days. The food in the many restaurants was good, with Salvador's as my favorite. Breakfast buffet was fabulous, but with all buffets I think you should arrive early as it starts to look sloppy after awhile. The staff are fabulous! I have no complaints and look forward to going back next year! Number one advice is to tip often!

Building needs lots of maintenance work. Appears short staffed also. Food was great, pool was very cold and hot tub not working Staff was great. I truly believe due to building conditions I would rate it 2.5 to 3
