The next phase of renovation and modernization of the rooms will begin May 1 at Bahia Principe Grand Punta Cana and Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro. These new rooms complement those renovated last year and will be available starting November 2024.
The renovation works will not interfere with the operation of the common areas and services of the rest of the resort.
Outline of work being done:
• Bahia Principe Grand Punta Cana and Grand Bávaro: From May 1st until November 19th, over 400 Junior Suites will be renovated and converted into two new categories: 2 Bedroom Family Suites and Junior Suite Premium.
• Electric Train Route between the mangrove and the new La Isla area (located at Bahia Principe Grand Bávaro): The route will remain operational and will only experience modifications in its trajectory. It will move towards the sides of Bahia Principe Luxury Esmeralda and Bahia Principe Grand Bávaro, without interruption in service.
All work will be carried out daily (Monday to Sunday) between 8 am and 6 pm. Any work generating noise will be conducted only after 9 am.
Although some noise may be heard, all efforts will be made to minimize impact to guests during this time.

My husband and I have travelled to numerous countries and cities and enjoyed 5 star hotels across the world. Bahia Principe Grand Punta Cana rates in the top 5 hotels we've stayed in. The food is first class. The service is so friendly and outstanding that you are made to feel as if you are at home. A big shout out to the real characters of the hotel to Manuel, Dominga, Yelissa, Richmond, and Winston.

Overall amazing hotel and experience! We booked with TUI and received grey wrist bands from the Bahia principe grande Punta Cana hotel which gave us access to all facilities in all the hotels owned by Bahia principe which flow into one another. We didn’t see many people with these wristbands. The grande hotel was beautiful and the room was nice, big and clean. We spent our days across in the Ambar (5star) on the beach front which was definitely a level up with a luxury feel such as waitress service. To get from one place to another it’s always worth waiting 1-2mins for a buggy to come along which will take you to where you like. The entertainment staff were amazing and work so hard from 9am-12pm! Make sure to get involved in the games as there are great prizes to be won. Also there are some free activities we got with our all inclusive on the beach in front of the ambar beach buffet… we only did kayaking, but there are many others to do at a small fee! We booked some excursions with the hotel such as saona island (full day tour with the 3 hour island access, snorkelling, natural pools) and the full day activity excursion (full day tour with mud buggies, horse riding, zip lining, cave pools & natural spring water, hot choc, coffee & Mana Juana tasting) The maintenance around the hotel is impeccable… always gardeners throughout the day. The beach was stunning with staff cleaning the beach. Make sure to go to the beach at night as the moon lights it up, a perfect photo moment. The food was great! Definitely make sure to download the Bahia principe app 10 days before you arrive as you can start booking restaurant's as these can get booked up quickly and avoids buffet every evening. Although the buffets were great! We only had 5 hotel restaurants we were able to book and TUI give you 1 extra. The rest we ate in the sports bar and the buffets. The Indian was the best by far! Room service is free and we had free top ups of our room bar (water, beer, coke, fanta) A great holiday with great value for money! 10 days is more than enough to get what that nice break!
