Wow. I don't know if words will be enough to express what a wonderful experience we had at Bahia Principe Fantasia Punta Cana. From the moment we set foot in the lobby and were greeted by the warm and welcoming staff and the juggler performing and handing out treats to the day we left, we felt pampered and appreciated and loved. Martha was our right-hand point person. She attended to every detail with a smile. She got us reservations at restaurants even when there were none available, she got us aloe vera late at night when my son got a sunburn, she heard I liked a particular beverage and made sure my refrigerator was well stocked with it, she greeted us daily and asked how she could help us each and every time we saw her, she made us feel like we were the only guests at the hotel, and by the time we were leaving, she felt like a member of our family. I told Martha that we were celebrating my son's 17th birthday, and my and my partner's 8th anniversary, and she put cute ribbons on our door, and decorated our room with roses, and ballons, and wrote everything out with Dominican coffee beans, which was such a lively extra touch, and left us a delicious bottle of wine (for an extra charge...and well worth it). The only reason I put 4 stars for the room was because the jetted tub stopper was not functional, the refrigerator was old, and the mattresses were not the best. Also, there were no q-tips or make-up wipes, or little extras that one would get in most 5-star hotel bathrooms. But the rooms were spotless and cleaned daily. The grounds are beautiful. The bartenders got to know me and my need for drinks without sugar, and they created delightful concoctions for me multiple times a day. The buffet was filled with options, and the food was surprisingly decent for a high-volume buffet. The fresh vegetable options could have been better, but there really was something for everyone. To be honest, the tepanyaki restaurant offerings were lackluster, but the service was fun. The salads at Las Olas Rodizio were just meh... but the meats were fresh and delicious and plentiful. The Garden Circus restaurant served HUGE rib eye steak, which was really flavorful, and I felt awful that I could not finish it. The servers were careful to ask about allergies. The activities were definitely geared more towards little kids, and not towards teens, and my son was really one of the only teens there. There was fun entertainment and a light show on the castle, and this place is absolutely magical. The beach was pristine and powdery, and we felt safe leaving our stuff on our beach chairs (contrary to some of the other reviews I've read). We got massages at the spa and felt so relaxed and refreshed. We would absolutely return to a Bahia Principe Punta Cana Resort, but we might select a different hotel (there are many in that area to choose from, some of which are adults only). We were only there for 4 days, but we wished we never had to leave. Thank you, Martha, for everything! You are truly a gem!! Blessings to you and your family and to everyone else at the hotel.
