Resort very nice but huge so lots of walking. Pools nice and well thought out for young kids as section made for them with bottom sloping down slowly Beach a ways off. Can walk it but a bit far. They have frequent shuttle to bring you though. Sargassum awful. Lots and lots of it. Very disappointed that we could not play in ocean. Buffet food ok. But meats not very good. Lots of fruits to go around. In general nice hotel for young kids. But our 5 and 4 yr old wanted to play more in main pool than splash pool.

I would like to thank all the staff at Bahia Principe Fantasia during our stay this year. After months of internet research thoughout all of the resorts in Punta Cana (that´s why I´m writing this review, to help people choose), I couln´t have chosen a better one. The staff was great, and we felt really comfortable during our stay. The food, drinks, room, service in general were amazing, and even a lactose intolerant, IBS person like myself, were able to eat and drink successfully (asking for the right options, of course). My husband and son also loved it all. We would like to thank specially Isaury and Jose François at the beach restaurant and Stephany at reception. I booked dinner before arriving at the resort and everything worked out fine at the Garden Circus, Takara, Le Gourmet, The Greek and the only minus was the Brazilian Rodizio (we are Brazilians so maybe our expectations were too high). The things Bahia Principe Fantasia could improve: giving more information about the activities, what age that is recommended for (I´d booked some for my 9-year old but came out it was for adults), the exact location, prices (there was day and time for spa in the activities but you had to pay extra, and it was not cheap), and of course, keeping the activity - my boys ran to the pool volleyball at the date and time schedule to find out there was none there and the activity would not happen. Also, my son was really disappointed that he didn´t get the birthday banner on his birthday as he saw in other doors (we booked a cake and all, so the information had been given). After all, our experience was great and we will certainly come back for a future vacation!

Second time visiting this hotel. I felt everything was 5 star hotel. Excellent food quality and service. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The pool is sensational. The buffet is wonderful and the entertainment staff and waiters make you feel at home.

Our room had mould all over the bedroom and bathroom ceilings, absolutely disgusting, probably caused by extractor fans. Lights hanging off ceilings. Room smelt of damp. Food in the buffet luke warm. Miserable staff at the Fantasia bar at the beach. Towel depot always shut on the beach so had to walk to another hotel to get one. The entertainment one night gave sweets to loads of kids, not all so many were crying. They were painting the outside of our rooms whilst we were there with paint all over our inflatables and toys. Would not recommend.
