Just an average quality in a fancy shell

If you are looking for a good quality food and fast service, this is not your best find. To be fair let me start with positives: The resort is beautiful The pool is great and spacious The rooms are new and modern Some restaurants are good: La boheme, the Mediterranean and The Japanese one The bavaro cafe is very nice for coffee Now the things that need improvement: -The staff in general are slow and not attentive, most of the time with an unfriendly and attitude (20 min or so wait at the lobby bar) -not many chairs by the pool and they were always were taken even at 8 AM -The customer service is terrible, good luck resolving an issue withe the front desk, it will take a million years and you will get frustrated at the end -The buffet food is basic and limited Specifically the breakfast there is not much there, and the omelet line was always very long, no smoothies no packaged yogurt for kids, we always either skip breakfast or got room service - The buffet is always overcrowded and noisy as well and there is not much outdoor space available - the night entertainment almost non existence, for the one week we were there we saw two shows super basics (There was no Christmas morning show or Santa visit for kids either) - day entertainments were also limited with not much for kids by the pool - the resources are so scattered around that takes forever to get to the theatre or waterpark and there is no shuttle - the restaurants are not easy to get in we had to go to the buffet two nights out of 6 - the ground level rooms might smell moldy - some rooms might also has sewer issue (like ours smelled for a few hours one night due to wastewater repair ) - room service takes more than 45’ to an hour most of the times - bars at restaurants serve high quality liquor but the rests only cheap domestic alcohol so disappointing - no food truck or additional food or fruits stations at the pool Overall I would not recommend this resort considering the high price. I had better experience at Hyatt Ziva or Majestic Mirage.

kerry and francisco and big mama and Figther were amazing! They have great service at the pool and are very very helpful with anything we need!
