I was out of the hotel for the day and when I returned that night, I found a pipe had burst in the bathroom ceiling and there was water everywhere. I called the desk multiple times before someone finally came out. They didn't even suggest moving me to another room. Crazy. I ultimately cut my stay short.

Day 2 we came back to a 1/2 made up room with finished bedding’s on the floor and no towel refresh, had to call at 530pm to request towels and finished making the beds ourselves. The food has been sub par and I recommend going when buffets open, extremely slow at replenishing offerings the later it gets and quality definitely falls as food sits for hours. Day 4 go back to the room at 3pm after being out since 8am and still not made up so we were forced to leave the room so it could be done and went to Uxmal for lunch since that’s was the only place to get any food and find everything is being replenished with pasta, mashed potatoes and anything instant easy they can do with a depleted salad bar, no juice left and NO Kids style offerings remaining. Waiting to see how great dinner will be tonight at their reservation only restaurant bonsai. Here’s a tip on the Spa…. Don’t pay full price and reserve because by mid day they spa agents will be roaming the property offering 1/2 price and 2 for massage packages which we have yet to try based on the other issues our expectations are low the spa service will be any different. We stay next door at Sandos every year and they were sold out for this trip and now I know why. You get what you pay for and if we could move next door now I would. Dont forget anything premium is reserved for club level guests that get the ritz Carlton why you get the holiday inn. I also used my multi tool to unclog the shower drain after several requests I did it myself. Will update in a few days and again at checkout to see if anything at all improves.
