The Divi Little Bay Beach Resort St. Maarten resort has advised of the following refurbishment project to the Beachfront guestrooms and Buildings A and B will take place beginning June 1, 2025, through to December 20, 2025.
Renovation noise will be minimal, and all efforts will be made to minimize impact to guests during this time.

Smoke filled room, resort unwilling to change room

Room given to us was smoker used, difficult to stay there. Asked for new room, even a downgrade, after an hour of waiting, told the smell was excessive sulfur in the water. I asked a manager to come down to the room themselves, then met another guest with same complaint. Manager avoided coming down, insisted there were no other rooms available. Resort advertises they are smoke free. Mentioned to another manager at check out, he says thanks for telling me. Divi stinks!
Disappointing Room Experience Overshadowed the Stay

I stayed at Divi Little Bay Beach Resort & Oceans at Divi Little Bay, and unfortunately, the room itself was the worst part of the experience. Upon arrival, the sliding door to the room was broken and would not open. We were told it could not be fixed. Throughout the stay, there were persistent bugs in the room, which were uncomfortable and concerning. Housekeeping was inconsistent, requests for fresh towels were often declined without explanation, and we were never clearly informed how basic amenities or services worked. The air conditioning unit had a very loud fan, and despite calling several times, the issue was never resolved. The pull-out bed was unusable due to how worn it was. I could feel the springs through the mattress and ultimately had to assemble the couch and sleep there instead, which still wasn’t comfortable. I asked to switch rooms, but was told nothing was available. I also requested a rollaway bed and was told none were available, and I never received any follow-up. While the property itself has nice views and potential, the room condition and lack of effective resolution fell well below expectations, significantly impacting what should have been a relaxing stay. I hope management takes these concerns seriously, as better maintenance and guest support would make a meaningful difference.
