People were great...processes not so much

Arrived only to find no assistance at the door for either information or luggage. I had extended my stay from two days to three and had one reservation. The hotel had two different reservations for two different room types and were so confused. When we returned to our room after our first day, we discovered we were locked out...locked out because one the two reservations ended that day at noon. When that got work out we were told we would have to pay an additional $150 (later taken down to $100 + taxes) or pack up and move to another room. We were told we would see some compensation on our checkout but that never appeared. I had to start this conversation over three different times with three different people. Every person I encountered at the hotel was so very pleasant and worked hard to see everyone was pleased and happy...couldn't be happier in that aspect. Their work flow processes (regarding payment)/reservations) definitely need improving.
Food Poisoning

We were severely food poisoned by our room service breakfast. We reported it to management who said they have no evidence of responsibility on their part. I had three days of evidence. Having been a patron of this hotel and its food service for over three decades, I was appalled by their lack of accountability. We won't be back.
Exceptional value for money and staff…….

I was a little nervous about getting a room at check-in - as I realised once I got there and found myself in a 10-15 person line that check-in was at 4pm. Despite that, flow was quick and I was given a room and a warm welcome. Christmas decoration and spirit was really nice. I had lunch and breakfast in the same restaurant and wait service both times was perfect and food good and substantial. I liked the choice of bars and also the location. I was able to go and get my rental car without stepping outside (courtesy of the PATH) and get everywhere I wanted to be really efficiently. The hotel gym and spa were also well above average. I got a decent workout and a nice sauna. All in all, I thought value for money and staff courtesy and attitude were exceptional. I’ll be back.

Bed bug issue while we stayed overnight, my partner woke up with many bites. Not happy at all with the expieriance …………..

This place has a level of service above all others. Staff are courteous and attentive, very beautiful building with old charm but modern touches. Loved my stay. Pool/gym/hottub/sauna area are very nice. Busy place in December with all the Christmas parties.
