Comfortable and convenient to downtown and cruise ship dock.

We stayed here the night before getting on our cruise to Alaska. We chose this hotel for its proximity to both the Canada Line station and the cruise ship dock at Canada Place. It was also very handy for shopping. The room was very clean and comfortable, with no street noise, and a nice view of the little cathedral across the street. The only criticism I have is that the coffee shop in the lobby is a Starbucks.

We prefer Hyatt hotels. This hotel in Vancouver has a great location, a couple of blocks from Canada Place if you are going on a cruise. Overall experience was good and connecting rooms was a plus. Customer service experience, however, wasn't as expected.
Basic experience

Beds were uncomfortable and service was subpar - no lunge access available - experience went down-hill over the years. Did not accommodate for a family of 5 in one room - no rollaway beds available. Decor was standard, not much improvement over the years.

Great staff - very efficient and helpful. My room - 1401 was very spacious and had a balcony with a peek a boo view of the mountains on the left. Room was modern with plenty of plugs / outlets for your devices. TV was huge and you can use Chromecast to cast apps from your phone to TV. Quiet room despite facing Burrard St. Great location - skytrain is beside hotel. Fast food also in / beside hotel (Starbucks / McDonalds / Tim Hortons. Easy walk to Alberni & Robson St & Pacific Centre Mall. Highly recommend.
Great base for exploring the city

Just back from a great 4-night stay as part of a longer visit to the city so this was the first of two hotels we stayed in. The hotel is perfectly located for exploring the city, close to Canada Place and the seawall as well as being right in the heart of other bars, restaurants, shops and the art gallery is just around the corner. We didn't eat in the hotel but enjoyed the happy hour drinks. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Pillows on the soft side for me but that's personal taste. Good selection of toiletries supplied (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body lotion) and by hotel standard the hairdryer was ok. Having a small fridge in the room to keep water cold was a nice bonus. Handy Starbucks on the ground floor of the hotel which was reasonably priced. All staff were very pleasant and helpful. Overall I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.
