Nice hotel but no beach
Anita J (Midlothian, Virginia) on Jan 10, 2026
The hotel is very nice, food is delicious, and staff is very friendly. However the is NO beach. They bus you to a public beach. Bus runs every hour. We ended up checking out and going to another resort on Seven Mile beach that has a beautiful beach and plenty of chairs. If you are not interested in a beach then this will be fine. Otherwise there are plenty of hotels and resorts that actually have a very nice beach.
Would stay at this resort again
SunSurfSandSuds (Northville, Michigan) on Jan 10, 2026
The employees at this resort were awesome. Everyone was friendly and genuinely interested in making your stay an enjoyable one. We booked a package that included breakfast every day, which was very good. We had lunch at the Anchor & Den and poolside, both very good as well. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The gym was adequate. Not a very big pool area. This was not a problem as we were there at the end of low season. It would be an issue when the hotel is fully booked. There is no beach, which we were fine with. The resort offers a free shuttle to either Seven Mile Beach or Governor's Beach which we did take advantage of. We did enjoy the floats in water. I did some snorkeling in the swim area of the hotel and saw some interesting fish. Enjoyed evening nightcaps chatting with the bartenders. Well maintained grounds. There were a couple hiccups and the staff went above and beyond to correct them. A nice place to stay.
