I attended New Year’s Eve pearl and Diamonds party, paid $740.00 for 2 persons but stayed for less than hour food was horrible taste , hot dishes were cold , horrible customer service . My husband got mad at me because I choose this place . My New Year’s party was spoiled. I called Moana and they say they will call me back and they never did . I don’t think is fair when I work really hard as nurse Tech in a hospital .
The views and staff are amazing!

This was our second trip to Oahu and our first stay at the Moana Surfrider—and it will not be our last! Yes, the renovated rooms in the Tower Wing are fantastic (if you can, get a Diamond Head Ocean view one -- A++ views), and the afternoon tea at the Veranda was the best we’ve ever had, but more importantly, from the moment we checked in through check-out, we were treated with incredible warmth and kindness. I can’t stress enough how wonderful the staff is, with a special shout-out to Vanya and Lucy at the front desk, and the amazing Alissa at the Veranda for truly making us feel like family. Can’t recommend it enough and cannot wait to return!
You haven't lived until you try the Vichy Massage

This spa has excellent views and is very spacious. It offers two different saunas — one dry and one wet — and the jacuzzi is the highlight, overlooking beautiful views with open side windows and chairs for relaxing. Everything was clean and well stocked, with complimentary nuts, teas, and fruit available. The Vichy massage was on another level — truly unforgettable. You haven’t lived until you try this! I will definitely be back.
Noisy nights

We are here now on night three of a four night stay. Each night it has been incredibly loud and difficult to fall asleep at a reasonable hour. We are on the 19th floor with great views of Diamond Head and Waikiki but there are incredibly loud street performers across the street and despite being 19 floors up, it sounds like we are in the back row of a concert. This is not the place to stay if you want some peace and quiet. The hotel could do more noise abatement and should just given the location but this is excessive and uncontrolled with street performers on loud speakers even at this hour (10:15pm local time). Maybe the hotel cannot do anything about it but think twice before booking.
Nice brand-new rooms!

I had a four-night stay at the Westin Moana Surfrider and so far it is my favorite in Waikiki! The location is great with both a really nice beach situation and direct access to lots of Waikiki shopping and dining. My recently renovated corner tower room was really nice with two balconies, with city view and partial beach view, a good layout, practical and comfortable furniture, modern, understated decoration and a heavenly indeed bed. I slept very well. One thing that could be better is insulation against outside noises, as the street performers get pretty obnoxious. But hey it's Waikiki after all. Breakfast at The Veranda would start at 6am on the dot, which I appreciated being a jet-lagged early riser. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The continental breakfast (complimentary for bonvoy elites) was good, and the buffet (additional fee) even better. The pool is smaller but didn't get too crowded during my stay and I enjoyed my daily swim. Of the other Marriott properties I've stayed at in Waikiki over the past 18 months, The Royal Hawaiian is quieter, the Laylow has a slightly tastier breakfast and the beachfront Sheraton a better pool situation. But the Westin Surfrider is better in all other aspects, including room comfort, service and beach access. Definitely recommended!
