HDM used to be a beautiful resort. We have been going here for 25 years. We love the Spanish architecture and the old world charm. But the place has become completely run down falling apart. Service is terrible and the crowds are ridiculous. The Daley battle to get a chair at the pool is not worth it. The beach chairs are gone. We are not coming back.Nn

Continues a downward trajectory. No beach chairs (“they have been ordered”), $50 usd breakfast, tough fruit, good jelly is gone, cheap bacon, etc. (maybe worth $20?), units are not maintained. Skip the one.

Andrei with the fitness offerings was AMAZING!! Goes above and beyond with a smile the whole time. The best way to start the day. Also has such unique offerings I’ve never gotten anywhere else. He was awesome!!

Hacienda Del Mar is an annual trip for us. This year, we spent two weeks. The service at Hacienda Del Mar is spectacular! Eddy, Heriberto and Carlos always take great care of us. Jury is out on the all inclusive. It is getting very expensive at Hacienda.

We had a great stay at HDM this past November. The grounds were beautiful as always. The staff is the absolute BEST!!! So many greet us by name as they remember us as returning guests. The bell guys are just the best....Herbieto and Jonathon are so personable, as are all of the bellman. So very friendly. We did the meal plan the last three days we were there and always enjoy the relaxation of dining on property. Pitahayas is our favorite. The view and the ambiance is just amazing! Love the bar area there with the firepit. We enjoyed the taco bar and the sushi restaurant also. Tomatoes for breakfast is just so beautiful and the staff there is over the top great. Rocio and Adelina (I hope I got her name right). The breakfast buffet is excellent. We enjoyed Tortugas on the beach as well. My friend and I got a wonderful massage at the Cactus Spa. Love the Spa there. HDM offers such a warm and charming atmosphere. The staff go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay. Special thank you to Anayeli Reyes as always.
