My 74 year old god-sister was getting married. For her wedding gift, I purchased the signature corner room with panoramic city views. I ordered food amenities, a bottle of apple cider and chocolate covered strawberries. Unsuccessfully, after being tossed around for weeks, in an attempt to finalize my order and payment. I had to take several hours of my personal time to go in person, which included driving over 60 miles. I was ready to file a major complaint. Shortly, upon my arrival, I met Ashley Garcia, Guest Experience Manager who solved the problem. She moved their room up to a higher floor and did not charge me for the extra food amenities. Also, gifted the newlywed couple with two fairmont signature champagne glasses, and two signature bathrobes. If you need a problem solver and a person who puts the customer first. Ask for Ashley Garcia. I walked away with a fondness towards Fairmont San Francisco. In the future, when looking for a place to stay - they are my first choice.

This hotel is an absolute disappointment across the board. Poor service, terrible food, worn conditions in rooms, and no care for their guests overall. It is quite possibly the worst luxury hotel that I have ever visited. And parking is $112 per night. Save yourself the disappointment and book the Palace or another one of the city’s fine hotels.

I treated myself to holiday afternoon tea at the Fairmont Hotel and it didn't disappoint. The service was top notch. The food served was truly outstanding and loved the Christmas blend tea along with champagne service. Highly recommend this.

Wonderful experience! The Fairmont is over the top with service and beauty. The hotel is beautifully decorated for Christmas with a huge real gingerbread house! My room on the 22nd floor had the best view of the city and the room was extremely comfortable with soft, clean linens and a comfortable bed. I cant say enough about this hotel which is lined with historical references, pictures, and artwork. Fabulous!

The Fairmont is absolutely a grand old girl with opulent marble and gilding throughout. The lobby was decked out for Christmas with the amazing gigantic gingerbread house which looks and smells delicious. That was a big reason why I booked our stay in SF here. Beautiful Christmas decor in every corner. Over the weekend, people crowded in and took advantage of the champagne bar. Our room on the 10th floor overlooked the bay. The bed was comfy and the espresso coffee bar had tons of snacks, wine, and waters. Be aware that the snacks and beverages (other than the espresso pods) carry a premium price along with extra restocking fees and tax tacked on. The bath was beautiful with separate bathtubs and shower. Towels were thick and large. The shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, lotion and soaps all were specially created for the Fairmont using Rose 31 fragrance, which was delicately mild, not at all perfumey as I worried upon seeing the packaging. As resplendent as she is, the Fairmont is an old girl. In the mornings, I had trouble getting even warm water out of the sink. Using only the hot water knob, I either got a trickle of *cold* water or nothing at all. The shower had plenty of water that cycled between really hot to tepid. Just be quick on the handle. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Fairmont. Our Christmas splurge to each other was worth it.
