I greatly enjoyed my extended stay at this hotel. I experienced some wonderful hotels in Vancouver too on this trip, but this hotel in Victoria was the greatest of them all! And it wouldn’t have been possible without the assistance of two wonderful servers from the breakfast (I really enjoyed the breakfast here at the hotel) and two wonderful Managers who made my stay so memorable. And, hence, the title of my review “2 +2 equals 10”! First, the servers- Ellen and Victoria. Two amazing women! Ellen the consummate professional server with the highest degree of skill and professionalism. I travel the world and often think to myself “if only this server were like Ellen”, but if they were all like Ellen, then Ellen wouldn’t be so special. lol. But, when Ellen is off-duty, or super busy, you might receive Victoria as your server. And, obviously, having your server named Victoria in Victoria, BC (the capital of British Columbia) says it all! She is the poster child for this amazing and beautiful city! Victoria’s skills and grace as a server give Ellen a “run for her money”. Just a great young lady! Thank you both for the exceptional service at breakfast during my stay! But, not to be outdone, the management at this hotel is fabulous as well. First, you have the Front Office Manager, Fernanda. There are “rock stars” from time to time in management positions at hotels that I frequent, but I began referring to Fernanda as the “Alpha Rockstar”. Yes- she is THAT GOOD! I had special requests (including Housekeeping requests) especially in connection with a recent major surgery I underwent and Fernanda coordinated with HK to make everything perfect for me. Not to mention recognizing my Lifetime Titanium Elite status (and currently Ambassador status) with Marriott. Thank you Fernanda for making this stay one of my most memorable of all of 2025 at any Marriott property! Finally, rounding out the “2” Managers in the “2+2” is the Director of Operations, Preston. A hands on Hotel Manager who made my stay so very special. He literally met me at the door when I checked in. He made sure the hotel ran as smooth as a Swiss watch during my extended stay. Too bad for Preston I was not a Marriott “mystery guest” as he would have scored “99/100” on this visit! I need to save the possibility of “100/100” for my next visit in 2026 and give Preston something to shoot for! lol. A special shout-out to McKinley in the Concierge team; just a wonderful young man. And my fine technician who came to my room and gave me restaurant choices as good as any Chief Concierge could ever do! And to my entire HK team for the stay including the fabulous and friendly HK Director! This hotel’s waterfront location is one of the very best in all of Victoria! It is luxurious with exquisite views and incredible service! I can’t wait to return to this hotel for round two!! This hotel had great hospitality by both the staff and the cleanliness of the facilities. One of the best things about staying here is the quaint indoor pool with the view of the harbour. It can get busy though so try to go early in the morning. It has that grand hotel flair with an indoor restaurant and everything you’d expect. The staff upgraded us to a room with a view as well. The rooms are very nice as well. I should say it’s worth calling the hotel in advance to request a harbour view for the full Victoria experience. It also helps if you’re a Marriot rewards member. We easily walked across the bridge to downtown and felt the location was phenomenal. Would stay there again :)

From the time we arrived at the hotel, everyone was so kind and attentive to us. From the valet, to front desk and the restaurant waitstaff. View was also amazing

The location was wonderful, right on the water looking towards the government buildings, with a beautiful view and many shops and restaurants just over the bridge. Right outside the hotel is a lovely walking oath along the water. The atmosphere was very nice, staff were polite and friendly. The room and bathroom were clean and the bed comfortable. The lobby has a beautiful view. The hotel restaurant/ bar is very expensive (69$ for french fries, beer, cider and a plate with 3 scallops). The room is not good value for money in our opinion ( for $400 we would expect at least a complemental breakfast/ coffee)

Beautiful views of Victoria. Well-appointed rooms though a bit sterile. Restaurant is adequate but lacking in service. Easy to get to by water boat or car.
