This is my third stay at the Delta - reviews here complaining about how old and tired the rooms are should have stayed here in 2011 before Delta was taken over by Marriott.
Stayed here in July 2021 and then for one night in March. The rooms have been nicely refurbished and apart from old fittings like AC units and windows they are clean and comfortable. The lobby is lovely and all staff very pleasant and helpful. Parking is easily accessed and convenient
If you manage to get a room that faces the harbour the views are great - you can watch all the action including ferries and seaplanes. The water taxi to/from Fishermans Wharf stops right outside too.
It is a 5 minute walk across the new Johnson St bridge to restaurants etc.
Our go-to hotel in Victoria
(Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada)
Jun 02, 2022
We have stayed here several times over the last few years. Love when we get an upgrade with a harbour view! But our last stay, we noticed a lot of wear and tear in the room and there was dust on the lamps etc! They could use a renovation but I would miss staying there!
Hotel is great , sad sauna was closed.

Hotel was great as always. However it was very disappointing to see the sauna is closed, it was one of the nicest amenities and the main reason we stayed here in the past. Front desk cited “COVID “ which doesn’t make a lot of sense since all restrictions have now been lifted.
Stunning view of Victoria Harbour

We stayed here for our first night on Vancouver Island. I'd last stayed here about 10 years or so ago and had lovely memories of a great stay. And I'm happy to say I was not disappointed a decade and one global pandemic later! Beautiful property, friendly staff, and really comfortable mattresses and pillows. We also received a recommendations for the best fish and chips in town from one of the front desk team members and it was absolutely spot on.
Service Overtaking Delicious Food.
Apr 18, 2022
Delicious food is being overshadowed by excellent service.
I went to Lure with some companions without making a reservation, and the restaurant appeared to be crowded for a Friday night. Lure had excellent ambiance and delicious cuisine, but the service was outstanding, especially with my waiter Yuki and when I spoke with a gentleman called Sushant. He was so passionate about his profession that he even gave us sablefish, which was amazing and highly recommended.
I would strongly suggest Lure to anybody looking for a superb example of hospitality, particularly in Victoria.
