Worth every penny!

We were celebrating our 60th wedding anniversary and chose this hotel based on past experience. We purposely booked a harbour front room on a high floor. The room did not disappoint. It was large, modern and very nicely appointed. The linens were luxurious and the bed very comfortable. We loved the two club chairs which looked out the floor to ceiling windows enjoying a beuatiful view of the busy harbour. We enjoyed morning coffee and a glass of wine while watching all the interesting happenings in the harbour. Our room was adjacent to a large, very comfortable common terrace. Although a shared deck we enjoyed reading during the afternoon with very little company. We give a nod to the staff who were always professional, knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating especially during this busy tourist season. For those who like to walk the path in front of the hotel is well worth a visit in either direction. Considering the size of the room we found the bathroom to be very small. However, it was very nicely appointed, spotlessly clean and it wasn't really a problem
Did not honor Deluxe, Water View Reservation

This was a very mixed experience. The hotel is nice and generally well maintained. The location is great - just off the busiest path, but still close and walking distance to the bulk of Victoria experiences or a short boat taxi ride across the harbor. Unfortunately, at check-in, the hotel informed us that they had modified our reservation because a different guest needed our room. Although we reserved (and paid) a water view deluxe room, we were given a non-water view room on the top floor. It was a nice room, but was very hot at night and the AC didn't seem to be able to keep up. What was intended to be a special trip overlooking the water in a room reserved because of this specific "guaranteed" feature did not happen and there was no advance option to look at anything else, and no significant adjustment to the room rate. The club lounge staff was not very nice and made me feel like I was not welcomed there. The club lounge was not particularly nice anyhow. The on-site restaurant was excellent and the service there was very good.
Amazing location within a few easy steps to the action in Victoria

This was our first time to Victoria, BC and we will return to the city and to the Delta Hotel Ocean Pointe. We had a water view and were pleased with our accommodations and services provided. The restaurant has a limited menu (in our opinion) but the food and service were great. Just a few minute (easy) walk across the bridge from Chinatown and tons of restaurants and shopping. We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The hotel staff was amazing and provided helpful information with public transit and sightseeing tips.
Great views!

Beautiful Location, Close to All

We stayed here for 3 nights, booking a King Club Room. Check in took a bit of time, everything was explained. The room was of good size, A large king size bed, nice and comfortable, good pillows. A single high back chair, a small coffee table and desk where you can charge all your electronic devices. The bathroom is small. More of a one person bathroom. A large walk in shower where the water is hot and pressure is good. A single vanity, long vanity bench and some shelves to put your toiletries on. We stayed in this room for 1 night only as there was a problem. We were transferred to a luxury king room still with club access. This room was a lot larger with a king bed, desk, 2 high back chairs with small coffee table and a couch. A wardrobe with 2 robes as the other room only had one. A bar fridge, tea & coffee station, openable windows vinyl flooring. No carpet. There is no safe for your valuables. Having the club, we ate breakfast there. It was the same food every day. Potatoes, bacon, scrambled eggs with cheese, GF toast, and sourdough. Muffins, croissants, bagels, fresh fruit, juice. A fridge where you can get soft drink, water, and other juices. A filtered water station that did not work all the time. You can have your tea/coffee in mugs or takeaway cups. On the third morning, the croissants we had were stale. Told the waitress, a shrug of shoulders and nothing more. The evening canapés were ok. Soup every night, tempura prawns one night that I though was frozen, risotto balls which were good, and beef espandas on the 3rd night. They were not good, very little filling and dry. A plate of different cheeses, a dark rye dry biscuit, French stick, sliced vegetables with hummus dip, corn chips with salsa and potato chips. Not the high standard quality of food we have had in the past. Drinks, water, soft drink, juices, no alcohol unless you pay for it. You pay enough for club access and not to get a beer or wine is not good enough. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The hotel is lovely and close to everything, all in walking distance. As we are Bonvoy members, we like stay due to our membership, but there are plenty of hotels all with different budgets.
