Overview
Nestled on 15 lush tropical acres along Aruba’s famous white sand Palm Beach, the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino is waiting to make your getaway one that surpasses every expectation. This Caribbean resort has undergone a multi-million dollar renovation that maintains the iconic design of its original architect, Morris Lapidus, while also bringing in 21st century amenities that enhance its Aruban vibe and create an unforgettable resort experience.
From endless ocean vistas to soothing tropical breezes to the warmth of a Caribbean sun, the natural beauty that envelopes Hilton Aruba would be enough on its own to make your stay ideal, but the standard for comfort and luxury is set so much higher here. Unmatched amenities include the beachfront eforea™ spa, beckoning with a Japanese-inspired bamboo relaxation area, outdoor cabana, signature treatments and modern fitness center. Guests can also enjoy water sports, such as diving and snorkeling; two zero-entry pools with cabanas; bicycle rentals; a Kids Club; guest activities program on and off property; and so much more. On the long stretch of pearly white sands in front of the hotel, lounge in beach huts or “palapas” to escape the sun and have food and beverages delivered to wherever you have set up your spot for the day. And The Casino Aruba at Hilton, offering table games, slot machines and tournaments, is a guest favorite with its Vegas-style play.

Great, sans hotel and road cobstruction
angelabunn on Sep 29, 2024
We had a rough start with Hilton. As we approached the property, the security wouldn’t allow us to enter this side, so our cab driver drove around (due to road construction) to the other side. Now there was apparently an accident and was told to drive back again (using service road) to get to the side we started with. Once reached, our driver was told to drop us off then and there and to walk to check in. He tried to tell them we have an elderly and baby but they still insisted. This was not a good start to our vacation because we have an 81 year old, a sleeping toddler, with luggages to haul, in midday heat, going upward from the service road to the lobby. I was really annoyed to say the least and felt that Hilton, being a premiere hotel, could’ve done better handling that. Anyway, Vicky from front desk was nice. She gave us water to refresh from the heat. We went up our room in the Aruba tower. I thought it was clean and spacious. We had the partial ocean view and it faced away from the property grounds. Lunch at Sunset Bar was okay. The property grounds were beautiful and zero entry pool was a win for us, especially with a toddler. The location is perfect - beachfront and close to restaurants. Every staff member we met were friendly - Angele from towel/palapas, the people taking our drink orders by the pool, Jhun from Sunset Bar, Heidi and Beatriz from spa, Roslyn from housekeeping all made up to make our vacation wonderful. I tried my best not to let the hotel construction noise bother me, but yes, you can hear and see it. There’s also the road construction in front of the property, so just FYI. We intend to return to Aruba next year. Hopefully constructions are done by the . We may choose Hilton again, or try Hyatt.
Ocean View? More Like Construction View.

Beware. Hilton does not make the extent of the ongoing construction clear on its websites. This is the second time that my Wife and I stayed at the Hilton in Aruba. Last year's visit was a great experience. This year was a different story... To say that I was disappointed is an understatement. The multiple construction projects that were going on, (all week, including Saturday and Sunday) were extremely obtrusive. No matter where you looked, from our Ocean View Balcony in the Aruba Tower, at the pool or at the beach, you could see construction. Not only was it an eyesore, but the sound was obtrusive as well. Riveting, sawing, yelling, and heavy machinery drowned out the serene environment of the resort. I could almost take the disruption and noise from the new tower being built. However, Hilton decided to demolish and rebuild Gilligan's at the same time. They erected a huge wall at the foot of the North Pool. It's not just unpleasant to look at but it totally killed the vibe of the pool. This spot is where the poolside bar used to be. They also ran the daily activities out of this location as well. The pool now is like a ghost town. At some points, we were the only people in the pool. The final straw was when I could hear the construction going on while I was in the Spa, getting a massage. Nothing like riveting to relax you.... All of this adds up to a mediocre experience. I can choose to stay anywhere in Palm Beach and I chose to stay here. The service and location are excellent. The beach is beautiful. I am not sure how they can charge full price with all of the chaos going on. Hilton should be more transparent with the level of disruption going on. I am sure once all of the projects are complete, this Resort will return to an amazing spot. For now, I will not be back until it is completed.
