Great time in Barbados

Really nice hotel staff very friendly food good beds really comfortable great place to stay for getting around, we often took the reggae buses you never have to wait for a ride. If you like the beach there are plenty of good ones nearby Miami was my favourite. Take a trip to St Nicholas abbey really good day out and one last tip if you are having a day at the races be sure to book a grandstand seat there is no shade and it gets too hot.

Great hotel, beautiful views, grounds and beach

Vicki B (Greater Manchester, United Kingdom) on Jun 01, 2024

Great hotel! A few reviews mention it being run down, we didn’t think that at all. We our room we had a lovely shower and a fantastic sea view. The beach was beautiful and sea a bit rough, but my 12 yr old was in it all day everyday, even saw a turtle there. There’s plenty of sun bathing areas and a lovely bar/restaurant. You can walk to the supermarket, oistins and St Lawrence gap from the hotel. Wouldn’t recommend oistins, especially if you have little ones, but would definitely recommend St Lawrence gap and ‘the savvy’ at Carlise Bay. We made the mistake of getting taxis the first couple of days and they cost a fortune. Jump in one if the small buses for 3.5 dollars each, to anywhere. Would definitely recommend this hotel

Little piece of heaven

susanharrhy (Merthyr Tydfil, United Kingdom) on May 26, 2024

Exactly how it's shown on utube.but as I entered I felt immediately at home,no fancy lobby just a straight through lobby with a tantalising glimpse of the ocean.its so close,no crowds, the restaurant serves a good selection, there are a few restaurants and bars a local shop, not far.huge bed,we went self catering. Breakfast we b ought a loaf of bread ,butter and jam from across the road and ate out on our verandah, the birds would come and share it, one even pecked my husbands hand, only bad thing was there were insects that came out at night in the kitchen area, and in bathroom too,so get some bug spray, best not to leave any food out, including cereals, there is a lovely long pool,I did 100 strokes end to end,it's amazing, staff in restaurant don't seem yo want to be there, with the exception of Deborah, she seemed to know what we wanted even before we did,and was very likable,we would seek her out,if we ate there, its such an amazing place we are going back there next year

Enjoyed the stay. Plenty of sun beds and umbrellas, breakfast plentiful, generally clean and tidy hotel. Ideal location to catch buses and taxi to explore the island Hotel rooms tired in need of Major upgrade. Most of the staff helpful and friendly.
