Beautiful hotel great staff BUT they try and rip you off on arrival - i will explain - we booked 2 weeks with the Butterfly beach hotel...everything was great apart from when arriving we were told we have to pay £220 $296 in case of accidentals i.e food and drinks thats orderd and you want to charge to your room amung other things.....we paid £3,400 - $4,578 for 2 weeks and they wanted more money! Ok we obliged relucantly...they advised us that this would be refunded 5-10 working days after our departure...we left on the 11th December and we still have not had or credit card refunded....we have contacted the Butterfly to redpond to our query....they replied saying it would not be coming from the hotel whom we paid!!! I think this is wrong and will be contscting our bank to make a formal complaint as my wife has message again as no refund and they have not emailed back!!! Like i said lovely hotel but i highly recommend that when arriving to refude the accidentals charge to your card!!! You have already paid for your stay dont pay them anymore thank you have to! To the Butterfly Hotel. In future you need to seriously think about thid charge as this has now affected your reputation with me and my wife so when i recommend a hotel to friends and family that trsvel to barbados reguarly i will not be putting your hotel as a place to stsy for this reason...you have let yourdelf down on this and i hope in the future you will think about charging your customers this as i wont be coming back nor will my wife...its sad because you did a grest job everywhere else!

Honest review. I visited with a friend who is gluten-free. The room was okay. I asked for a decent view; I got the poolside but mostly the car park. I asked to move three times and was told they were at full capacity. I mainly wanted to leave because of noise from drunk, noisy neighbors. This hotel, when I went, was mainly older couples from Scotland and South of London. The room was of a good size with two double beds, a kitchen with a working hob, microwave, TV, fridge, iron, and hair dryer. We also found a roach on the last day in the bathroom; other than that, the room was clean. I found if I didn't tip the room staff, you got the bare minimum service. This applied to the whole hotel for the exevptoon of a few of ghe receptoonists and servers. If you want to self-cater, then you could as its well stovked. There is also a washing machine amd dryer which you pay for tockems at reception. You meed to bring your own suds .The option for breakfast was 20 dollars a day, which we didn't think was worth it. The beach was ok but water very choppy not the best but better than Some other hotels we looked at (Rockley Hilton and Renaissance, for example, were awful). The room had a lift and was within walking distance of the beach and pool. The side pool had chairs, but you were not allowed to use them; they were only for the rooms downstairs by the pool. I had zero help with moving beds; no one was on duty to help. This meant dragging your chair to the sand. I also used the Sea Breeze chairs next door, which were far better, and would suggest staying there before the Butterfly. The weather wasnt great 3 days were grey and raining. We did visit other places using uber and pickup. If i were to go again i would def stay on the west coast for better ocean and water. There is also a small shop on site selling snacks water soda etc. Wifi os included but not the best connection.

Butterfly Beach is a charming hotel in Barbados that we really enjoyed. The rooms offer small kitchenettes, which was a wonderful convenience and made the stay feel easy and comfortable.

First time at Butterfly Beach and I couldn't recommend it more highly! Staff are the most friendly people. Service is efficient and quick, rooms cleaned on a daily basis, beautiful food and cocktails, nothing was too much trouble!
