The trip was the greatest! There's so many of the staff that make the experience over the top. Fernando- preferred Magaly - preferred beach service Angel - preferred chairs Gerson - preferred beach service Federico - set up Mexican dinner and tequila Fernando - bar manager Alberto - set up wedding renewal dinner on beach Piero - preferred beach service Gustavo - preferred chairs All of these and more made the trip!! We had the crazy spacious beautiful honeymoon suite, magical dinner on the beach, special drinks and food at preferred beach and pool area. Will be going back with kids next time in July!

I don't even know where to start. This was supposed to be a trip of a lifetime for myself and family. We have never been out of the US. We saved and planned for a year for this. We arrived and all was ok. We didn't get the welcome you see with the champagne. We arrived during the Mexican election which renders the weekend DRY. Wish we had known that. Anyway. Once in our rooms (Preferred Balcony with ocean view) that's where it started to fall apart. This hotel is old. Built in 2009, it's falling apart. Balcony door was broken. Room smelled like mold. The bathroom door was a glass swinging door with gaps at the top and bottom. Zero privacy. My daughters bathroom light leaked you as you're sitting on the toilet. Moving on to the outside, the preferred pool was small and packed full of kids so it wasn't really all that "special" not that anyone checked who was preferred or not. The main pool was quite empty, probably due to the many missing tiles that eventually cut my daughters foot pretty good. The food was good. I won't say great but it was alright. All the restaurants were annoyed when we came in with a family of 5, like it really put them out to have to find us a table. The staff seemed mostly annoyed and none of them could speak English very well (which I guess I figured they would considering a lot of Americans travel there) I asked one bartender for something "fruity made with vodka" and he mocked me by repeating what I said and made some nasty concoction and when I asked what it was he just said "it's a surprise" and walked off. We did end up complaining to our travel agent who got into someone's ear about our issues and they upgraded our rooms (after we had maintenance come in to take apart our shower for 30 minutes because it was leaking on the room below us) and honestly, even the upgrade wasnt all that great. It had a more private bathroom door but it was also broken with no handle. Not to mention the endless phone calls about attending their time share presentation. We declined every single day. They even found us in the lounge to try and sell us on it. We talked to many families there in passing who were also very disappointed. They said they have stayed at other "Dreams" and loved them so they thought this would be the same quality. I feel so cheated out of what was supposed to be unforgettable. I hear Dreams Vista is 1000% better. Unfortunately, I think this ruined it for us. I don't think I'm interested in being disappointed like this ever again.
