Great way to celebrate dad’s retirement!

We had such a great time at Las Brisas Huatulco. Our favorite was playing bingo by the pool. My dad won the game and it made his day. This was the perfect way to celebrate his retirement. The workers that really made it a good time were Braulio, Maximiliano, Adiel, y Aurelio and Jeshua. They were so lively during the games and were super fun to engage with!
A fun vacation!

We have been to Las Brisas, Huatulco, a number of times, and we are never disappointed. The gardens and trees are well kept and extremely pretty this time of year. It is extremely busy this time of year, however the staff do a wonderful job to keep up. The resort has become a pickle ball mecca, and is best to play in the late afternoon as the mornings are very busy. We enjoy the multiple beaches and have found the food in the restaurants to be well prepared and a nice variety. While the staff and servers are all very good, we want to mention a few who went above and beyond: Special thanks to Gabriela and Nayeli at the BBC. Roberto and Adelid at the Bellivista buffet. Xochitl, Luceli, Octavino and Orlando for a job well done serving on the beach and patios, and tolerating our attempt at Spanish! Thankyou.
Trouble at Check In

We stayed in the Mar section of Las Brisas for our second time in 2 years. We always enjoy our stay but had a bit of "confusion" at check in. We had our travel agent book for us again last June for our November/December visit. Upon check in we were told that all they had available for us was rooms on the bottom (meaning another set of stairs lol) but they would happily move us to the main level 3 days later. Its a bit of a pain packing up in the middle of your stay to change rooms but we agreed. Once we saw our room we were a little unsettled as it was much smaller than our room had been last year. We rummaged through our papers we brought and noticed that we had indeed paid for a suite so the room should be the same as last year (balcony and ocean view). We had to get back to the lobby to show our papers listing that we had paid for the suite. Suddenly they had a room on the correct level that was a suite including the balcony and ocean view. So.......I'm pretty sure this wasn't confusion at the lobby desk. I truly feel as though they were trying to short change us due to the fact that they checked and rechecked at our initial check in to see if there were any main level suites available and we were assured that there was not!! It all worked out but made me a little angry because if we hadn't been there before we never would have checked our initial papers and payment. So they really lost marks for that. The beach is beautiful and the water is clear and blue. Great for snorkelling as long as its not the highest tide of the month (the water gets a little murky but is still great). We didn't book any a la cartes as we did a few last year and they were okay. The buffet is easier cause you can go whenever you want and don't have to wait for the 7:30/8:00 a la carte sittings. Almost everyone we talked to has been there numerous times and they love it. Will we return? Maybe in a few years if I can get over their attempt to screw us just a little:(
