Dining at El Mexacano at Las Brisas Ixtapa

Tonight, we dined at the Restaurant El Mexacano. Our servers were Moses as lead waiter, Anna as his assistant. Moses is a wealth of information on the menu and its various dishes. His recommendations on beverages are second to none. Anna was very attentive to our table and served with grace and cleared with subtlety. It truly is a gift to have professional, knowledgeable wait staff in these times. The food was excellent and as good as we remembered from our first experience here in March of this year. If Moses offered you a bit of extra topping on your coconut ice cream, go for it. I'll not spoil the surprise, but strongly recommend you trust him.

I have been going to the hotel off and on since the 1990's. The hotel is perfect for my needs regarding the room and the pool area. The staff is very good. The value is very good. The Beach Club has changed its Happy Hour food variety. It used to serve hot entrees. It is generally understaffed and the food is notoriously cold. The chafing dishes need to be properly heated and the food served hot. Simple things that need to be addressed.
