Christmas on the Beach @ Las Brisas Ixtapa

My husband and I spent a glorious 13 days at Las Brisas Ixtapa in Dec 2025. Our 2nd visit to this resort, a decision we made with no hesitation! We are charmed by the design and character of the facility., and the friendly, accommodating staff! From Moses and Anna @ El Mexicano; Valeria, Angel, Jesus and Efron @ Bellavista; Daniel at the front desk & Leslie (Resort Concierge); Yamely in the Main Lounge, and their Director, Miguel (who makes a habit of seeking out and personally greeting returning guests) you are soon make welcome and valued! Although we neglected to get our housekeepers name, our room (2108) was well looked after with water and coffee supplies replenished daily during our stay. Yes, there are LOTS of stairs but we were happy to incorporate them into our daily exercise plan.... a must with the great food and beverages available. For those who are unable to navigate the stairs, there are shuttle options to and from the pool and beach areas, and ramps and elevators for restaurant and speciality dining areas. The beach is quiet and secluded and the life guards are dutiful and attentive. When we visited in February there were days when the surf was quite rough, and I didn't venture in although my husband loved the rougher water! This visit, the surf was calmer and everyday was a swimming day! No shortage of palapas and on the busiest days over the Christmas period the staff provided temporary umbrellas so all who wished had shade and were protected. The beach wait staff were on the move constantly so there was never any shortage of drinks or food available, and always delivered with a smile! Two items to note: This resort is very quiet at night; no nightly entertainment in the lounge area, which suited us, but is missed by some. Also, the restaurant menus are "hybrid", so some items on the menu aren't included in the all inclusive package but can be purchased at an additional cost. Worth noting if this is of importance to the group you are travelling with. We reserved in Beach Club for this reservation, but wouldn't use it again, as we didn't feel it enhanced our resort experience. We are always delighted with the abundant food choices at Bellavista at breakfast, keeping in mind, if the buffet items aren't to your liking you can also choose from the breakfast menus items. Although the young lady at the Egg/Omelet Grill in the morning is 2nd to none!! The public areas are kept spotless and we noticed ongoing maintenance from our first visit in February 2025. We feel it is great value for the money spent. Would we return? Definitely!! and we are already pricing accommodation for a long-term stay in 2027.
