Bad customer service, small rooms, and overcrowded pool

This has been the most disappointing Westin experience I’ve ever had, and I’ve visited many Westin resorts. The customer service was subpar, and despite booking an ocean-view room, the space was shockingly cramped—barely enough room beyond the bed, and the bathroom was equally small. To make matters worse, the pool area was consistently overcrowded, making it impossible to relax. We had to go to other properties just to enjoy decent facilities. Definitely not the quality I expect from Westin.

Great hotel and great location! Wonderful, friendly staff who are very motivated to ensure your stay is absolutely perfect! This trip was a great little getaway and trip of a lifetime with my daughter. The Westin was the hub of our trip for the first few days here. Pools are amazing, beach is beautiful, and the international flair of people staying at the property made the visit very memorable!

Fraudulent Credit Card Holds 2+ weeks after check-out

We had a party of 17 people stay at this hotel in 6 rooms for 8 nights. Quite a few people in my party had a difficult time at check-out with the staff being rude and saying their credit card wasn't working and to try another one. A colleague was concerned that he had to swipe AND sign for his bill with two different credit cards. We all received folios and confirmations that our bills were finally settled. We checked out on 4/26/25. It is now 5/9/25, and there are still multiple pending charges on my credit card (WELL AFTER I PAID MY BILL) for an additional $10,000+!!! I have tried calling the Westin and using their recommended portal to communicate with their accounting department. Responses are vague and sporadic. My credit card company (Citi) told me that the Westin needs to authorize the release on the hold, and they've tried to contact them to do so with no response. The Westin proceeded to tell me they could not do this and to set up a conference call between the two of them (but did not provide me with contact details)?! What is going on at this hotel? If you stay here, be prepared to have issues at check-out, horrible customer service, and incorrect/large pending charges for weeks--with no resolution--well after you leave.
Relaxing stay at Westin Spa in Maui

Great stay at Westin in Maui! Grounds are well kept and everything is clean. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. There is a pool with sand on the bottom that is the best! Lots of amenities and things to do. Highly recommend if visiting the Maui area! Only drawback to this location is that it is next to a shopping village so lots of foot traffic. On the other hand- close to food and shopping!
