Overpriced and undelivered

Megan W on Apr 27, 2024

Booked a standard room with a queen bed in July 2023 for a trip in April 2024, when we checked in, they gave my partner and I a “delux room” with two doubles instead. When we asked the front desk, they told us a conference had ended up booking all of the standard queen rooms and if we wanted to upgrade we could for $80 a night. The “delux room” didn’t have a fridge, microwave or cheap coffee maker. For how large the hotel is, the pool area is very small, with hardly enough seating for everyone, unless you want to rent a day bed or cabana. The hotel blocks the sun after 2pm at the pool, making it very cold and really limiting time to be able to go to the pool. The pool bar is wildly expensive, and the drinks are not as strong as they should be for that price. They still charge you for room cleaning, even if you do not have housekeeping during your trip. The ride share/uber pick up is a bit difficult to find. Won’t be staying here again. The only real good thing I have to say is that it is pretty good location, central to a lot of attractions.

Visited here winter 2023.

Rose R (Peterborough, Canada) on Apr 26, 2024

This hotel lost points due to: poor signage to check-in at back of hotel. We went around a few times, and asked construction staff if they knew where we could go!; poor check-in situation. People had stated in reviews ahead of our stay how the machines for check-in wouldn't work properly, and we needed assistance. The line gets backed-up for both the machines and staff member check-in, as there aren't enough staff to help.; hotel charging very high resort fee...for what! There is no breakfast room, and the pool is closed during the winter!! This is where they make alot of extra money!! I was charged more than what was stated on our reservation, but didn't realize until home, as the self-checkout, didn't give us a receipt. We did enjoy staying here, and especially because the location of hotel is right in the middle of all hotels on the strip, so it's convenient to head in either direction on strip. The Linq Promenade, beside the hotel, is bustling with people walking along it day and night. The area around the main elevators gets busy, as there are people coming/going to their rooms, and it is also a walkway area, thru the hotel/casino, to the other hotels at each end. A bar and tattoo shop is also in that area.

GETTING CONTACT HIGHS AT THE LINQ

William D on Apr 24, 2024

Tried several times to eat at the Mexican restaurant, each time we requested a table inside. Staff said sure and proceeded to take us to the outdoor dining area. I told the staff that we did not want to smell marijuana as we ate. They said sorry, the 30-50 tables inside had no staff. Went to the pool and settled in. Weather was beautiful and the staff were attentive. We had to leave after 30 minutes because of the smell of pot. We stayed on the 12 floor, the room was nice, if dusty, but the hallways all smelled of pot. We enjoyed the table games, Let it Ride, ( one table that didn’t open until 1200). After 20 minutes of play we got up and left, you guessed it, the smell of pot! I understand that this is legal in Vegas, but not in public areas. As such we will never visit the Linq again. Unless you “partake” stay away!!

Pass on this one

RoyceThedog (San Diego, California) on Apr 24, 2024

No toiletries, no coffee maker or coffee, no bath robe or slippers, no shower cap, comforter the thickness of a sheet, no blanket, the safe did not work, the water didn’t get hot, and the refrigerator didn’t work. The sheets had stains. There wasn’t even a pen and piece of paper in the room to write a review. There posted a sign saying they wanted us to reuse our towels and sheets, but there is no discount for doing it. In short, this place is a total rip off.

Costly drinks four time more than even on cruise ship..

Wanderer26132411474 on Apr 24, 2024

The drinks are outrageous cost. Pool side slushy $37. Aquafina water 6.99 a bottle. Fuji water 19.99. I was so shocked, had no idea I should ask cost before purchasing. Assumed the water would be probably $ 3.00 a bottle but never considered a 16oz bottle would be $6.99. Nice location for convention at Venetian, walking through Harrahs & parking garages made it easy.
