This is a "Stay Away From" for Me
Mitchell S on May 18, 2025
The Mandalay Bay charges for everything, even the coffee in the room. They charged $35/day for me to use the refrigerator in my room. I could have bought the fridge for less. Even with all the extra charges, the room was in poor repair with the TV not working and the bathroom light burnt out. Will not stay at this (or any other MGM Grand property) again.
Mandalay Beach, Good for Business and/or Short Stays
Octavio M on May 18, 2025
The Mandalay Bay is a nice, beautiful facility, but it is beginning to show signs of aging. The rooms are not adequately fitted to accommodate the needs for power sources in convenient places for modern electronics. They still rely on motion/touch sensing refrigerators and trays to increase their revenue, which makes the refrigerator unusable as well as a significant portion of the dresser's surface. The resort is on the very far south end of the street and easy transportation is only available to the adjacent two properties (the Luxor and the Excalibur), not coincidentally also owned/operated by MGM. Depending on the purpose of your trip and the length of your stay this will become a big factor in your overall enjoyment of the facility. If your purpose is business or to enjoy a couple days at a resort with no concern for the cost of food, incidentals, and casino action, then this might do it; however, if you want to enjoy and take in the attractions on The Strip and/or you plan to stay for longer than three days then your experience may not be as pleasant.
