So long and Goodbye, you will be missed

L B (Tinton Falls, New Jersey) on Jun 14, 2024

In my opinion it is one of the best hotels on the Vegas strip. Employees are friendly and helpful. The grounds, are very nice, and we especially like the pool. Definitely one on the nicest in Vegas. It has a lot of character. It is a shame that they will be tearing it down.

Goodbye Mirage in the Desert!

ugorgeousthing (Los Angeles, California) on Jun 13, 2024

We had to stay one last time. Very sad to see The Mirage go next month. It was my first Las Vegas hotel I stayed at back in 2001. The Mirage pool was the perfect cool down for a 100°F weekend! We really wanted to see The Beatles LOVE by Cirque du Soleil, but we stayed from Sunday to Monday and were gutted they didn't perform on those days. Still tempted to come back one more time and catch it before it goes!

Just returned from a fantastic stay at the Mirage. Hotel room clean and comfortable, bed made and bathroom cleaned every day. All staff friendly and helpful considering they are about to lose their jobs. The pool, bars and restaurants were all really nice. Such a shame I'll never be able to return to it as the Mirage but thanks for the memories.

Avoid restaurants at the hotel

E O on Jun 10, 2024

Room was great, staff was helpful, pleasant. Avoid hotel restaurants - high prices for mediocre food, rip offs (we 'dined' at Osteria Costa, ordered the rigatoni w/ eggplant - needed magnifier to find the eggplant). Ate at Pantry for one lunch and two breakfasts - terrible. Inedible club sandwich (avocado was on one half of sandwich, 'meat' was unidentifiable and not chewable), burned toast at breakfast, tasteless pancakes. Btw, it won't get better as Hard Rock gets in full swing - their restaurants here in Tampa Hard Rock are terrible (and they don't care). Also, used to win a few bucks at Mirage - no more. The casino is dead, no excitement, nobody winning. Same with Tampa - used to be good.

With the announced closure of the Mirage Hotel and Casino next month I am grateful to have visited before the property is transformed into the Hard Rock. This hotel truly was spectacular and has a beautiful 1980s “moonlighting” tone to it that I will treasure forever. I will always remember the volcano. Just a spectacular resort.
