truth about Mirage pool and hotel

postalman (New York) on Apr 25, 2024

Rented chairs at the pool for 50 dollars each was a great investment so we could have an umbrella for shade. If not, you are in the sun which is tough to stay in all day. Getting into the pool having to scan the room key card is a real pain as the line moves quite slowly and takes way too long as people line up before the pool opens. . After getting in you then have to go to another station and check in for the chairs or day beds you have rented. Easy enough but when there are some folks in front of you this can take another 10 to 15 minutes. We stayed in mirage suite which was great with refrig and ice maker as well. Hotel is getting a bit old as I have been going to Vegas for decades and the mirage is a bit dated but if you are going for the pool, I would say it's a great place to stay as this pool is second to none. Went to Beatles Love show and it was fabulous. The Heritage steak house which is pricy delivered on service and quality of food expensive but well worth it. Overall location is still great but the check in is not great if you come at the wrong time you can be online over an hour to check in. Employees at desk and pool are friendly and I found the service excellent.

Rip Off Merchants

Andydobs (Bolton, United Kingdom) on Apr 23, 2024

I write this to make people aware of the underhand practice of The Mirage. Firstly, prior to visiting Vegas we were quite aware that it was above average regarding prices so this is not a complaint about money. We were told via email (photo evidence attached) that when we book shows as hotel guests we receive a 20% discount, however, when we went to book we were told that the discount did not apply…..even though we had it in writing. This is very underhand practice to obviously increase profits at the expense of honest clients. In fact, I’m sure this practice contravenes the law in some way, shape or form. As regards other items, this place will certainly rip the bottom out of your wallet at every opportunity. In addition to this, the TV in our room wasn’t working. We requesting this to be sorted on three separate occasions, it was eventually done on the fourth request which was made by a different engineer who had come to repair our security box……..because that ALSO was not working. In summary, my advice is to book ANYWHERE apart from the mirage.

Will miss the aquarium?

tamaraharvey468 (Sheboygan, Wisconsin) on Apr 19, 2024

With the upcoming renovations to Hard Rock, I wonder if the aquarium will remain. Our first time staying at The Mirage and it was nice. Rooms were clean and a good size but in need of updates. The staff was more than accommodating. We had reserved seating at the pool and was assured the section was monitored and people that didn’t have a reservation had to move. No one monitored, but we informed people they couldn’t sit there without paying. We had to pay! Kuddo’s to Maria’s staff of lifeguards, they really jumped in when needed and helped a gentleman. Until next time. Viva Las Vegas!!

Brilliant

Mark W (Rome, Italy) on Apr 19, 2024

Unbelievable hotel. Great experience from the start. Check in was seamless and the rooms were exactly as advertised. Breakfast was good and the overall hotel atmosphere was what made it special. We had meals out most of the time but when we did eat in the hotel we were not disappointed. Felt very safe all of the time and could not fault any of the amazing staff Thankyou.

Terrible stay; dirty, blood marks and hair in the bathroom

Liu N on Apr 15, 2024

I booked at the Mirage for 2 nights to celebrate my girlfriend’s 50th birthday and after doing some research, decided to stay at the Mirage. The best price we could get per night was $292.63 ( 659.98 for 2 nights, not including the $95 resort fees). We were so excited about this trip and about the hotel we chose. It was so heartbreaking when we got to the hotel the room had hair all over the bathroom tub and there was blood spots on the wall next to the TV. On top of it there was a musky smell to the room and the windows where yellow/foggy which did not help the view. I was so sad to see what room we got for the price that we paid ($659.98 plus $95 resort fee). The beds were not even King size which was what we selected when booking. it was really hard to enjoy our experience. I did not even feel comfortable using the bathroom. Felt so dirty. Whenever we try to, it seems like they just wanted the little bit of money we left and at the same time that room was not worth it. We did not even go on a special weekend or a holiday weekend. I don’t understand why this hotel is so much money for the poor, quality and service we received. I wish I could go back in time and pick any other Hotel. Please save your money! I would hate for you to be as disappointed as we were.
