RUN!! Don't walk to your computer to cancel your reservations if you are staying at this hotel. It is extremely rundown with just a skeleton staff. Gardens are falling into disrepair and look shabby. Wallpaper is peeling, upholstery in the restaurants is filthy. We had a hamburger in the dining room and it tasted like it was made the day before. The bathrooms are grimy. Staff is aware of what they are dealing with and very nice. We were able to get out of our reservation but had to spend the night. We flew home the next day. It completely ruined our vacation.

Absolutely beautiful property! The staff was amazing as well. Amanda and Gracia at the poolside bar were so friendly and great bartenders. can't wait to come back! Couldn't have a better view from our room. Had a great stay despite bad weather.

Great place to stay.

Great facility. Nice location just outside Lihue. All staff were friendly. Will definitely recommend when coming to Kauai. Rooms were great. Nice to watch a hula show in the lobby and long with having local crafters. Next time will take the time to enjoy the pools!

Completely at the mercy of the hotel

Ken H on May 14, 2024

We stayed at the hotel for a conference meeting, which provided a shuttle from the airport. Upon check-in, we found that the quoted room rate did not include a bunch of taxes and fees which amounted to about a 23% increase in the room-rate, not including a parking fee had we had a car. Particularly galling was the "Daily Resort Charge." When you book a room at a resort, why is there an additional Resort Charge? Entering our room was like walking into a refrigerator. Turning the thermostat up to 80 degrees made no difference. We finally had to turn off the AC and open the exterior door to make our room livable. The shower took forever to warm up enough to step in, and then the temperature continuously fluctuated between lukewarm and cool. The second day of our stay, we accidentally discovered that we didn't need the room key to enter our room ... it didn't lock! The hotel is isolated from any surrounding businesses, so without a car we were completely at the mercy of the hotel. Like our room, the conference rooms were frigid, requiring many of the attendees, who had not anticipated needing warm cloths in Kauai, to purchase at the expensive gift shop something warm to wear. Like everything else at the hotel, prices were about double what you would expect to pay elsewhere. The breakfast buffet (nothing special) was $35/person. The best I can say is that the room was fairly clean.

Paradise found

Beautiful resort and the staff are unbelievably friendly. Grounds are immaculately kept. Perfect laying by the pools and listening to the waves and waterfalls. Rooms are spacious and clean. Great views of the resort from where we were located. Recommend highly
