The first 3 nights of our fly drive

We arrived in the dark in our hire car.A little jaded after our ten hour flight. The valet parked the car ($75 per night)and we were given a warm welcome from the receptionist. . A lovely modern room ,excellent shower and view of the city .Complete with a lovely comfortable bed. Nialla (sp?),the receptionist told us it was safe to walk to the diner ,Mels . We took a stroll past the famous “Comedy club” and went to Mels a great American dinner. There are some nice places to eat with8n a short stroll The hotel Andaz is fairly well placed for easy access to lots of sites.Hollywood,Avenue of the stars,Dolby theatre Rodeo Drive and Beverley Hills.We took a drive down to Paul Gettys villa near Malibu and also visited Santa Monica pier and beach,The end of route 66 and some time at the lovelly beach.

The Andaz is my favorite place to stay in LA. The staff is very attentive and accommodating. Overall appearance and cleanliness of the hotel and rooms is excellent. Highly recommend the breakfast package if available. Tons of great options that far exceeds your typical, mediocre hotel breakfasts. Location is great. Valet parking is $70 so try SpotHero for one of the nearby garages. Hotel location is very central.
