Our check in process was very good with both people who assisted us being very friendly, offering us water and giving us a very thorough run down of the hotel. Reception is very nice - well lit, spacious with plenty of places to sit. The rooms are ok, a little dated and not overly large. Bathrooms are good with both a bath and a shower. The breakfast offering is good with nice fresh fruit and a wide selection of warm food. The staff here were very good. We chose to eat at the bar as we were visiting Disney Land. This experience was less than fantastic. We were not supplied with napkins or cutlery, had to actively search out someone to pay our bill - and waited 10 minutes to do so. All whilst being expected to tip in a “service” business. Our worst experience was when we went to experience the wine tasting(that is valued at $50). After waiting around 7-8 minutes to be served we made our selection of 2 wines, as the lady was about to pour a tall gentleman off to the side said “only 1 tasting per room”. The tasting pour was so small I said to not even bother. I have never come across such a lack of understanding of customer service in this environment. It was not just what he said but how he said it. Seriously, is this really going to impact the profitability of the hotel. When I went back down to reception I clarified that it was in fact a tasting for 2 people per room. If it were not for the good experiences I had with other people in this hotel I would have rated it 1 based on the experiences in both bars.
Beautiful hotel and magical staff, made our family feel right at home.

We just returned from a two night stay with our children. It was our first trip to Disneyland and we were happy to be at such a lovely hotel. The property is really beautifully-appointed, the rooms gorgeous, the restaurants and bars very good, and proximity to Disney can't be beat. While our first impression was that such a fancy and modern hotel is not super kid-friendly, the level of service truly blew us away. From the bellman taking time to walk us through the best ways to get too and from the park, to the breakfast servers going above and beyond to take care of our picky kids. The cherry on top was the two wonderful baristas Alejandra and Cindy who took a moment of small talk with me in the morning about it being our first visit to Disney and surprised our family with an over-the-top amenity bag waiting for us in the room after we got home from the park late last night, with snacks, stuffed characters, and a note about wanting our first visit to be special. I've never seen such hospitality in my life and it was truly touching and appreciated. This is a spectacular hotel, made even more so by the care and attention to detail that the staff shows from top to bottom. I cannot wait to return.
