Discrimination- So I booked the hotel for it's location to LAX, I didn't review the reviews and booked through Expedia with flight and hotel. I contacted them a few days before to find out if I could bring my dog (a Maltese) at which time they said yes and there would be a $150.00 fee (which I was fine with). Upon arrival to the hotel I immediately smelled mildew or stale water smell, which wasn't appealing but moved forward to reservation desk. As I was waiting I could hear other people checking in with other agents. When I got to my agent to check in, she informed me that they charge a $200.00 a day fee to my card as a deposit....I immediately debated this, as I've never paid anything close to this amount at 5 star hotel. I informed the agent that the lady before me bought her ticket through Expedia also (as I could hear her) and her deposit was just $150.00. I asked if this was because of the dog she said NO, this is a corporate policy. I then asked then why did the other person (who was not black) only pay $150.00, she in turn said , 'its a different booking (how would she know when she didn't even confirm). I asked to see a Manager who then informed me that this was there policy and he could lower it to $400.00, still unacceptable. Due to me having my dog and us traveling for so long I went ahead and paid the deposit. I totally feel this was a form of discrimination, as the other customers were non-black. I am an Government employee, here on personal business and will never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Overall a positive experience. Front desk was friendly and quick. The room itself was quite spacious and clean. The decor could use some updating, but it wasn't anything a little design update couldn't fix. The room was quiet. You couldn't even hear the airplanes. Right next to LAX, which is terrific. The only negative part was their shuttle at the airport took forever to pick me up. But traffic is terrible at LAX, so delays are to be expected. Overall two thumbs up.

This hotel is not worth the stay. When it was the Crowne Plaza, it was reasonable, clean and affordable. Now it is run down, air conditioning didn't worth, general upkeep is on the poor side. Check in was a joke - took way too long even with an existing booking. I agree with the comments about the deposit - I can't believe they can get away with it. And the Grab and Go place - waiting in line for 20 mins while someone wanted to maximise thier voucher because they were on a delayed flight. And the person serving her encouraged it, not caring about the long line behind us. Don't stay here - pay more to stay elsewhere

The Valet guys Jona C and Alfredo were great!!! My car was always ready very promptly!! I had to change my rental car during my one day stay and when I brought the new rental and dropped it off I didn’t have any problems picking it up the next day even though there was a change of shifts. I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel also.

Dirty, dilapidated, rude service, extremely overpriced. I can’t believe this hotel has more than two stars. The halls smell like feet, the walls are all banged up, the bathtub smells like mold, and there’s a weird whirring sound outside the window every few minutes. All this would be vaguely tolerable if the hotel wasn’t $200 a night, plus $50 for parking. I’m filled with anger at myself for booking such a dump!
