Better than the generic!

One of my best hotel stays in a decade. We made many requests of the staff and all were very accomodating. Many fine points of quality, like the steamer and hair dryer (Dyson). The bed was perfectly firm, and so were the pillows. The Restsurant was also well-polished. Love the little Marshall speaker, and the option to have a Record Player sent up to the room. The record selection in the lobby is, of course, a matter of personal taste, but it felt like it may have been picked clean of a lot of the "Good stuff" by past guests with good taste and low morals. I'd suggest more curation, and categorization. Currently it's, of course, Country heavy. I'd suggest more blues and jazz, and bluegrass, and soul. Seems these were all maybe pilfered and to make up the space, wree replaced by a stack of Hank Williams. I would have liked a bathtub... and for the bathrobe to be cotton. The synthetics feel so weird.

This hotel was top shelf. The room is nice, and the lounge also. But the service was magnificent, particularly Mary in reception

Not at the top of their game

I have stayed at the Hutton Hotel several times before and enjoyed it. This stay was a bit disappointing. The hotel charges a $30 Destination Amenities Fee. OK, I've incurred resort fees before. But, none of the amenities were available. The fitness center was closed. There was an alternative fitness center offered a few blocks away, but on a freezing cold day in December, I was not going to walk there in gym shorts. Plus, the alternate fitness center does not have a locker room. The fee included access to the event venue, but that was closed on the day we were there. We were told the fee included premium coffees such as lattes, but when we asked for a latte, we were then told it was not included. We mentioned these issues at checkout and the Destination Fee was removed. A pipe burst during our stay (mid-December), so hot water was limited. Which made for a brief shower. The hotel is totally cashless, not even a petty cash box to make change. Be aware of this, for example, if you want to tip the valet or bellhop. You must use a tip app. Overall, I was satisfied but it was not the premium experience I had in the past.

Great one-night stay.

Jayade was so helpful and friendly at the front desk! She was a lovely welcome to the hotel and we felt well taken care of. The restaurant in the hotel was great as well. Our room was lovely! Very pleasant stay.
