Check in was fast and easy with Daniel from the front desk, he explained everything I needed to know about my stay, made me feel right at home, great job Dan, I would definitely come visit here again, made my stay feel like a vacation away from my own city.
Clean, friendly, and great location

Rating is 4.5 for no fridge, but everything else was great! This was our first day at a Fairfield in this location. I was pleasantly surprised! Check-In There was no wait upon check-in even at 3:30 PM on Saturday. The attendant who checked us in was so friendly and put a smile on my face after a long day of travel. I wish I remembered his name, but it started with a D. Elevators There were 3 very fast elevators, and the only time we really had to wait for one was during breakfast time. Room and Housekeeping We had two queens and it was perfect. The only downside was that there was no fridge. There is a microwave in the lobby. The room was very very clean. I had zero complaints the housekeepers were very friendly and offered to take a bag of trash when I was leaving the room. Location The location is unbeatable. You are in the middle of everything. We were with two 13 year-old girls staying overnight for a concert at radio city music hall. we could’ve taken an Uber, but we decided to walk. It’s an 30 min easy walk. You are right by Penn Station, Koreatown, Time Square, Bryant Park, pretty much all the touristy areas. Parking The garage next door is the preferred garage for the hotel, but they aren’t connected. I got a SpotHero parking for $57 for my 36 hour stay.. This included the $10 oversized charge. Compared to the other garages in New York, this garage was so easy to get in and out- no long wait! We were the only cars dropping and picking up at the time. It was very odd how they weren’t busy at all. Driving Driving in on Saturday afternoon was very trafficy around Penn Station, but really not that bad. Leaving on Sunday morning was easy peasy. Breakfast Breakfast on Sunday was 7-10am. It had everything we wanted and more- all the hot bfast foods, cereals, touchless pancake maker, pre-made waffles, bagels, oatmeal, yogurt, boiled eggs, etc. The staff really took care of everything and everyone. There was a guy walking around making sure everything was stocked and lady just wiping and cleaning the tables the entire time. I guess that should be the norm, but some of the big hotels don’t do it as much these days. I was very impressed. Overall, it was a perfect overnight day. It wasn’t a five star just because there was no fridge.
Excellent rooftop bar near Penn Station
RazzyBthefirst (Macclesfield, United Kingdom) on Oct 03, 2024
Our hotel, being art deco in stature, didn't have a rooftop bar and we were lucky to find this place very close by. Blu33, pictured on here, is a great bar with amazing views. We visited twice during our stay and they have an excellent happy hour. Wine $10 and good size beer $8. Really friendly staff and we shared a corner sofa with some residents from Ireland. We shared a few drinks and some stories, happy days.
Exceptional Service

The Fairfield Inn & Suites New York Midtown Manhattan Penn Station is my preferred hotel from this point forward in NYC. The location is prime Midtown, walking distance to Penn Station and Madison Square Garden. 5star staff from the front desk personnel to the breakfast staff. Jay, the food service manager for breakfast was exceptional. He connected with every customer present and made sure the experience was great. I literally can't say enough about how he was hands on in making our dining experience exceptional. The entire hotel staff from Shae at the front desk to the GM William Gibson were exceptional and made me feel at home. All were very welcoming and very professional. . This was my 1st visit but will not be my last. I am looking forward to my next stay. Hats off to Mr, Gibson, he is running a Superb operation at this hotel.
ATTENTION TRAVELER: Not family friendly hotel, don't let yourself be treated the way I was

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I requested a crib and a fridge in my room for my child with special needs (2 weeks before my trip), but when I arrived, neither was provided. They assured me they’d take care of it as soon as possible, but nothing happened. The worst part? After asking for the third time, the staff at the front desk argued with me, saying they had no record of my request. No apology, no empathy for a customer who had to throw out all her child’s food because it spoiled without a fridge. What a joke! I paid way more than I would’ve at other hotels, expecting decent service, and I can’t believe this is what I got.
