All the staff from gardeners to waiters were superb. Especially my housekeeper Karen C! She was so kind and helpful. She made sure I had everything I needed. Some parts of the complex were a bit “tired” but everything was kept clean and tidy. Thank you for a great experience.

I just want to start off for anyone reading this who is hesitant off of the bad reviews or a horrible experience with the over the phone wedding planner, don’t let it stop you or worry you. The onsite wedding planner Shantae went above and beyond! She was sooooo sweet and made sure everything went exactly how I dreamed! She let me make last minute changes, was on the phone calling all the florists she could to get me flowers I didn’t order ahead of time, and made sure all of the wedding party was doing what they needed to do! I can’t thank her enough for everything she did for us. She made the ceremony and reception look unbeatably dreamy and was exactly how I envisioned my special day. Also everyone at the resort is so accommodating and welcoming. It was a party of 24 with a total of 5 kids under the age of 6 and 1 teenager. I felt extremely safe and there was so much to do for everyone of all ages. We went snorkeling and rode the vans boat and had a blast. My 14 year old looovvveddd snorkeling on the glass boat. The sesame st shows were a hit with the little ones. The number 1 reason I chose this resort was because of how well they said they do to support children with autism. My 4 yr old little girl with special needs was treated so kind by all the staff. She even went up onto the stage while they were performing and she was extremely excited and kept trying to dance with the characters while they were performing. They weren’t rude to her or make her feel unwelcome. I appreciated that and it made my heart so happy. Special shout out to Veniece. Not sure if I’m spelling it entirely correctly but she was from house keeping and took care of the the Greek honeymoon beach suites right on the beach. Me and my now husband were in room 2109 and she took amazing care of us! Every day she would greet me with a beautiful huge smile and by name! She would even sometimes sneak by when I wasn’t there and clean up multiple times after she already would in the morning! She always kept everything stocked and so clean! She was so beautiful and truly a highlight of my trip. I honestly wish I could find her to send her a gift she was that AMAZING. I already wish we could go back. It was a trip of a lifetime! So many amazing people there. Ramon, our photographer who was so detailed and professional! He would adjust my dress, make sure we would get perfect shots of us with the sunset, and you could tell has a huge passion for photography! Shantel who did my hair and makeup’s I was hesitant to get it done but whoa she knocked it out of the park. Honestly I’ve had my makeup professionally done before and she by far did it the best. I also went for a couple massage and she was the masseuse as well and holy cow was that best massage I ever had! Amazing, amazing, amazing! Our experience at Beaches Ocho Rios was nothing short of a nightmare. My family and I chose this resort to celebrate my birthday, spend thousands for a four-day stay. We were immediately disappointed upon arrival—this place looks nothing like the pictures advertised. There’s no beach on the property, unlike our previous wonderful experiences at Beaches Negril and Beaches Turks and Caicos. The service was the worst I’ve ever encountered. A staff member named Cion, who was supposedly helping us, turned out to be a scammer. We were so dissatisfied with Ocho Rios that we requested a transfer to Negril. Cion told us we’d need to pay an extra $700 for the room and $300 for transportation. Desperate to leave, we agreed. The real trouble began during the transfer. After a 30-minute drive, the driver demanded $300 cash, which we didn’t have. He insisted on taking us to an ATM, which made us extremely uncomfortable, especially with our two kids in tow. After an uncomfortable back-and-forth, we returned to the resort. When I asked for a manager, Cion appeared again, offering to help us get cash with an added $30 fee. Only after much frustration did she miraculously get approval for Beaches to cover the transportation. This entire ordeal ruined my birthday and our vacation. The employees here are more interested in scamming guests than providing a decent experience. I would never recommend Beaches Ocho Rios to anyone—save your money and sanity and avoid this place at all costs.

I did not appreciate how we were treated. 4 1/2 hrs air travel. about 3 hrs bus ride to the hotel and upon arrival my room was not ready after 2 hrs of waiting. During my stay toilets not working...had to take the garbage can to catch water and flush everyday for each use. During showers the water went from hot to cold like it was on a timer . The telephone went out for 2 days in my room. At the beach and pool area there was not a clean towel from mid-day to the afternoons. The safe in my room refuse to open one night. A technician came next morning and fix it which caused me to miss an appointment as I was advised to stay in the room and wait for the Technician to come and fix the error message on the safe. I spend a lot of money from air fare to hotel.etc..but did not enjoy my stay and had a very bad stay at the hotel. THE HOTEL SAYS BEACHES OCHI RIOS ST. ANNS, BUT IT IS IN BOSCOBEL ST. MARY. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE.

We had an amazing vacation, our kids had the best time especially at the kids club and with Maressa the teams coordinator, she was very attentive to my children and they loved spending time with her participating in all the events at the main pool. They can’t wait for us to plan our next beaches vacation!!!!
