Service at front desk needs to improve

Dr_Iris_B (Ramat Gan, Israel) on Oct 22, 2025

We stayed here 4 nights and overall had a great stay. The property is very well maintained, the room was very clean. The breakfast buffet was great. My only comment is about the service at front desk that needs to improve: they are simply not nice! You don’t feel welcome .

Ok at best

lilrox724 (Chicago) on Oct 18, 2025

Our stay was mediocre at best. With all the hotel options available, I would pass on this one in the future. When we entered our room, the bad smell was so strong . Whoever stayed here before definitely cooked a lot. If that wasn't the worst part, the table and chairs area looked like it wasn't vacuumed. Hair and crumbs everywhere. The bed was ok, but it lacked pillows. You get 3 pillows that are practically flat for 2 people. Housekeeping is every other day, but note they can come late. Ours came at 5 pm, and we just got our towels changed bc we were already back in our room. The pool is nice. It was never full when we were there. The breakfast buffet was decent. I do like that they serve you the main foods, so lines go quicker, and you aren't just waiting for someone to make a waffle.

Mold

Kevin A on Oct 09, 2025

My partner woke up day 2 and was not feeling well. She discovered that her side of the bed was covered in previous mold spots. The frustrating part was the house keeping management comes, as per hotel staff, every 4 days. They recently change my family’s sheet the night before, and it looked poorily washed. The urgency of the staff was amazingly poor. They explained to us twice they could leave us new sheets to pick up at the front desk. A platinum member, that pays a hefty annual for the Marriott card credit card, goes down stairs and changes their own bed sheets that is poorly washed?

Unable to contact Hotel in advance regarding concerns

593MichaelA (Winnabow, North Carolina) on Sep 16, 2025

I have an upcoming reservation and have left multiple messages regarding transportation needs for the Residence Inn in Orlando. Based on the reviews via Trip Advisor, it appears that the Residence Inn offers transportation to theme parks. Unfortunately, nobody ever returns calls regarding questions. Today, when I called the local number, the Marriott Artificial Intelligence forwarded me to the reservation center where I was connected with a non English speaking representative. Sadly, if this is any indication of the customer service that I will be receiving this weekend by Marriott, I’m afraid that my vacation will be an upsetting experience. Marriott used to be in the customer service business, now customers are only looked upon as corporate revenue.

Another Wonderful Stay – Our 7th Visit!

eggdust (Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom) on Sep 12, 2025

We have just returned from our two-week stay at the Residence Inn Marriott at SeaWorld, and once again, it did not disappoint. This was our 7th visit, as we travel every year to celebrate our anniversary, and we keep coming back because the staff and location make it such a reliable choice. From the outset, communication was excellent. Before we arrived, Aileen, the hotel manager, kindly arranged gluten-free breakfast options for my wife after I reached out by email. It was so reassuring to have this taken care of in advance, and we really appreciated her attentiveness. On arrival, there was a small issue with our initial room, but it was dealt with immediately — we were moved to a new room within five minutes. The team couldn’t have been more accommodating. The breakfast staff, while not always fluent in English, were consistently polite, helpful, and greeted us with a cheerful “good morning” each day, which really set a positive tone. The location is extremely convenient — within a 20-minute drive of all the Disney and Universal parks, as well as International Drive. Having a hire car, we found it easy to get everywhere we needed. The hotel itself is also a great base: the beds are comfortable, and the well-stocked kitchenettes (with fridge freezers) make it easy to self-cater when you don’t want to eat out. It’s true the hotel is starting to look a little tired in places, but everything is kept clean, and for us, the comfort and practicality outweigh that. It remains an ideal base for a theme park holiday, especially with the bonus of such friendly and helpful staff. A huge thank you again to Aileen and her team for looking after us so well. We’ll certainly be back next year for our anniversary tradition!
