An alright place to stay at Disney

Stayed one night in November 2025. Firstly, this is a Marriott hotel on Disney property and I booked directly through Marriott. Check-in was okay but very impersonal, I have elevated stated with Marriott and have stayed at many of their hotels and this service was amongst the worst and my loyalty was not acknowledged which was a shame. Upon trying the room, the door would not open and we thought someone was inside so went back to desk. Was sent back and told nobody should be in there but again couldn’t open the door. 10 mins later while we are still standing outside the room a handyman arrives and says there’s nothing he can do. A security man arrives a few mins later and manages to slip the latch and let us in. We ask if this is a regular issue and he explains that if the door slams it can trigger the latch and prevent re-entry and sure enough this was VERY easy to do which is absolutely bizzare! The room itself was very nice, as was the bathroom. Both very clean and well-appointed. Location of the hotel is ideal for walking to Epcot and close to Hollywood Studios also. Parking is $38/night though but does grant free parking at the Parks on check-in and check-out days. Also allows access to Deluxe Extra Magic Hours which was a nice perk. I did feel the resort lacks the Disney magic though. The service was pretty shoddy, the rooms though nice were not ‘magical’ a there’s no theming or anything in the lobby either. I did expect this but I think at least if the service was good it would have felt like a more pleasant trip but sadly did not. No free parking like the Disney-owned resorts seems like a mis-step too.
Noisy but great location

We just spent 4 nights at the Swan in a balcony two-queen room. First, the cons: This hotel was very noisy. I could hear the shower running next door, the housekeeping crew clearing their throats and talking, the people above and next door moving about. Doors closing in the hall were a loud thump. The lobby was freezing cold. The cleaning products (which I assume are standard to Marriott) were cloying and gave me a headache. I had to open my balcony doors after the room next door was cleaned because the smell was so strong. Pros: location, location, location. This is my preferred location at Disney World. I've stayed at all of the skyliner resorts, but my true preference is to eliminate the need for it altogether. I'd love to stay at Boardwalk, Yacht Club or Beach Club, but I can't justify the cost. You still get deluxe hours staying here. The holiday decorations were nice. I'm writing this review from the Hard Rock at Universal, and the room is so much quieter. Of course, these hotels are two totally different price points. The Swan is a good value for the money and I would stay there again.

We have stayed here before because we like the convenience to Epcot and Hollywood. Walking paths work well. Boats are ok but require a long wait sometimes. The first day started out surprisingly well at checkin reception and housekeeping promptly dropping off our requested extras with a smile on their faces. Our room only had one bathrobe and housekeeping returned with another within 15 minutes!!! I wish I had gotten her name! However the rest of our 7 night stay was not as good an experience. We interacted multiple times in-person with reception, housekeeping and security. And wasted almost 5 hours of our holiday time doing so trying to resolve lack of housekeeping, broken in-room safe (not good!) and inoperable room key and mobile keys because it’s really good when you can’t get into your room after being in the parks all day and even worse when you have to walk to the lobby. Security determined the in-room safe was not the battery and needed engineering. After a two hour wait we decided we would no longer waste our time. Westin needs to do better. Our response from customer care was poor and apathetic.
Mostly Good

We stayed at the Swan for 5 nights and there are a lot of pro's but also some con's. Overall I would probably stay here again due to the close proximity to Epcot and Hollywood Studios not to mention the Boardwalk. The staff were all very nice though be prepared to pay out the nose for food/drinks. 2 latte's and a smart water, $25. Pro's: - Great pools at the Swan, Dolphin and Reserve - Walking distance to a lot - Nice redone rooms which are spacy - Early admission to the parks - Early booking of lightning lanes -A fraction of the price of a Disney hotel Con's: -Our room faced the Dolphin and was a suite; it was soo noisy we had to sleep with earplugs in. Constant noise from people walking, books beeping their horns, ugh -The bathroom layout was HORRENDUS. There was a small room with a sink and behind that was a tiny closet and small safe. The larger bathroom was so small in that when you got out of the shower you were ontop of the toilet and sink. Whoever designed this BIG TIME FAIL. - Insane prices at restaurants. $125 for 1 salad, 1 burger and 2 kids meals at the Dolphin, ugh. $25 for 2 lattes and a smart water.
Nothing particularly good. Lots of bad

This place is terrible. Constantly freezing. No good food or drinks. The thermostat fell off the wall. Maybe good if you are traveling with young children who don’t know the difference between good hospitality and no hospitality. This place is a no hospitality place.
