Outstanding Family stay at the Swan Hotel Disney

David D on Dec 28, 2025

Our Family of 5 from Canada and a wonderful stay at the Swan hotel . Its a great location and staff were outstanding in all departments. Our rooms were well appointed and quiet and adjoining as requested . These 3 staff members at Mulino New York Trattoria are a great asset to the Swan hotel. Hats off to Hunter, Ashley and Connor for making my family and myself feel very welcome on each visit. Thank you David Deol

A Nice Option

awinchester (Maryland) on Dec 22, 2025

My friend and I decided to do a girls trip to Disney and chose the Swan for our accommodations. I have been to Disney with my family many times before and prefer to stay on property when visiting, however, that is always really expensive. We chose this hotel because of its proximity and affordable price. The Pros: This hotel has a lot of amenities. The pools are expansive and nice, and a short walk from the hotel. There are so many restaurants on property, making this a great place to stay if you don’t want to leave the property much. We ate at the steakhouse and Italian restaurant and found them both to be enjoyable. The rooms are nicely renovated and a decent size. While the resort is huge, everything was never more than a 5-10 minute walk. The boat to Epcot and Hollywood Studios was really great and easy and efficient to use. It’s also very walkable to both parks. While the hotel is very big it never felt crowded or overwhelming - there were definitely more people at the Dolphin. The Cons: The bathroom felt a little small because of the door that made the space feel tight when it was open. However, the extra sink area was a nice touch for families. I think my husband, son and I could stay in the room comfortably, but anymore than that might feel a little cramped. When I got to the hotel, there was a horrible storm, which suspended any room service they offered, which made sense for safety reasons. Unfortunately, the Swan didn’t have any quick service dining, and would require me to walk over to the Dolphin. I found this to be the biggest downside of staying here - not having quick service options available all day. I didn’t use the hotel’s bus system to get to other parks, we chose not to use the buses to get to Magic Kingdom, because they didn’t seem to run often, so opted for a Minnie Van instead. Having stayed at many Deluxe Disney resorts, I felt this was a good option. While it doesn’t have a lot of theming, it was nicely decorated, a great location, and provided some of the perks of staying on property without the hefty price tag. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Orlando.

Excellent Experience Marred by Painful Check-In

8Chocolate (Coral Gables, Florida) on Dec 22, 2025

I’ve stayed at this hotel numerous times over the years. They do a great job updating it every few years. It feels fresh and well-cared for. Cleaning staff do a great job. The a/c works great. Mini fridges are in every room. The location is excellent, with easy access to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. There is a Disney visitor center in the lobby where one can buy tickets, obtain brochures, etc. There is one huge experience-ruining flaw- the laborious check-in process. I’m not sure if the hotel deals with lots of inexperienced and unsophisticated travelers, those whose big trip is to Disney but who don’t travel much outside that. Perhaps these people need lots of hand-holding and need lots of information spoon-fed? If this is the case, why doesn’t the hotel give hand-outs with relevant info about the s’mores on the beach, how to get to each Disney theme park, etc.? Is it really necessary to spend 15-20 minutes with each guest checking in? Furthermore, the signage is confusing. There is a sign marking the line for Marriott elites and then the line beside it is unmarked. Unlike every other large chain hotel, there is no “check-in here” sign. I tried to do the right thing and not stand in the elite line as I don’t have status but watched as people who arrived after me were helped. I was standing in the wrong line. What a mess. It took me over 40 minutes to check-in. All the 2 lines did was create confusion as there was no dedicated receptionist to attend to the elites. It was chaotic. The reception staff need serious re-training to learn how to attend guests efficiently and expeditiously. Of course, some people are going to want unreasonable amounts of your time but you have a duty to the people waiting in line behind them! Also, $50/day resort fee is way too high. It should be $30. I feel ripped off when I pay that much money but do not use one amenity other than the bottled water.

Very convenient location

copan28 (Toronto, Canada) on Dec 18, 2025

Stayed at the Swan in December2025. The Swan is conveniently located near Disney theme parks, especially Epcot and Hollywood Studios with free bus service Disney Springs too. The surroundings are well maintained and appealing to spend time at. Even though the rooms are dated, they are bright and functional. The major issues would be the few watchable TV channels and the noise travelling from neighboring rooms. Unlike most Marriott hotels, I found that the Swan's room Wi-Fi sometimes works and sometimes not and it is part of the resort fee but the Wi-Fi outside the hotel and surrounding areas works all the time. Also noticeable, is that there aren't any foreign guests when I visited and the hotel was full. It is likely that most foreign visitors would stay at the Reserve. I would definitely stay at the Swan, Dolphin and Reserve the next time I visit Disney World.

An alright place to stay at Disney

Jwharmsby (Twickenham, United Kingdom) on Nov 30, 2025

Stayed one night in November 2025. Firstly, this is a Marriott hotel on Disney property and I booked directly through Marriott. Check-in was okay but very impersonal, I have elevated stated with Marriott and have stayed at many of their hotels and this service was amongst the worst and my loyalty was not acknowledged which was a shame. Upon trying the room, the door would not open and we thought someone was inside so went back to desk. Was sent back and told nobody should be in there but again couldn’t open the door. 10 mins later while we are still standing outside the room a handyman arrives and says there’s nothing he can do. A security man arrives a few mins later and manages to slip the latch and let us in. We ask if this is a regular issue and he explains that if the door slams it can trigger the latch and prevent re-entry and sure enough this was VERY easy to do which is absolutely bizzare! The room itself was very nice, as was the bathroom. Both very clean and well-appointed. Location of the hotel is ideal for walking to Epcot and close to Hollywood Studios also. Parking is $38/night though but does grant free parking at the Parks on check-in and check-out days. Also allows access to Deluxe Extra Magic Hours which was a nice perk. I did feel the resort lacks the Disney magic though. The service was pretty shoddy, the rooms though nice were not ‘magical’ a there’s no theming or anything in the lobby either. I did expect this but I think at least if the service was good it would have felt like a more pleasant trip but sadly did not. No free parking like the Disney-owned resorts seems like a mis-step too.
