Great location for Epcot

daniarwen (Denver, Colorado) on Feb 13, 2024

Nice hotel. Clean and super convenient location. I loved that I could walk to Epcot and didn't have to wait for a shuttle. The room was big and clean. They're a bit dated and none of the USB ports in the room worked (there were two options - one on the clock and 2 in a wall outlet - all broken so no way to charge a phone unless you had a plug in adapter), but beyond that the staff was nice and I liked my stay.

Mildew smells and Black Mold!

487AJP14 on Feb 13, 2024

Rooms smell like mildew. Every morning I would have a thick layer of condensation covering the entire patio door (see pictures). Upon further inspection, there was black mold all along the door and in the air vent. I informed the front desk supervisor of the issue (showed pictures as well) and asked the front desk supervisor if they could switch my room. They didn't follow up until 24-hours later at 9pm and by that time was too late to move. I've heard multiple reports from people staying in the Dolphin hotel that their room wreaked of mildew. The Florida Department of Health could spend a month in this place and still not find everything.

Conveniently close to Mickey!

T_Ridg (Boston, Massachusetts) on Feb 01, 2024

Wonderful stay with my family! Clean rooms with plenty of space (for pack n play, strollers, etc. etc.) and incredibly convenient location - walking distance to Epcot, ferry to Hollywood studios and easy bus to the rest of the parks! Lobby coffee shop was perfect for grab and go on our way out for a day at the parks and the pool (shared with the dolphin) was beautiful/fun for the whole family!

Transportation to Magic Kingdom takes forever

bbarri0 (Reno, Nevada) on Jan 31, 2024

The hotel itself is fine, nothing spectacular and disappointingly, has no central bar/lounge to relax after a day at the park. But the transportation to the Magic Kingdom is a complete deal breaker and will keep me from ever returning. Years ago I stayed here and enjoyed it, getting to the parks was simple and you could use Disney buses to get directly to the Magic Kingdom. Now they require you to take a non-Disney bus to the transportation center and then switch to a monorail to get to the park. It has been averaging close to an hour to get to/from the Magic Kingdom, which is insane given how close the hotel is. Never again.

It was okay, just nice, not great!

Tami P on Jan 22, 2024

While the hotel is "nice", I wouldn't consider it "deluxe". I am a Marriott Titanium and stay in Marriotts, Westins, and even the lower end as well (think Residence Inn), and this definitely did not meet Marriott/Westin standards that I've stayed in. Biggest complaint was the bed had a huge sage in the middle, very uncomfortable. The "view" was okay, however there was a message on the slider saying the balcony was under construction, and there were bars across the opening (felt very prison like, LOL). I asked about Epcot fireworks view when we checked in and was advised "that's the Dolphin." The room was clean, but did not have a lot of surface space for things. There was a long skinny hallway to the bathroom. The bath had a smaller counter, toilet and large shower behind the door. There was a bar of soap, and the bottles in the shower, nothing more (Marriott usually has lotion, shower cap, mouthwash in addition to the soap). Again, it was nice, but I would look for another resort, as this one didn't really feel very special.
