One word, avoid.

Title: Avoid at All Costs – Severe Maintenance Issues, Indifferent Service, and Terrible Dining Rating: 1/5 Stars I am currently staying at the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel, and this has been one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have ever had. For a property charging premium rates, the level of service, maintenance, and overall management is completely unacceptable. Room & Facility Failures Despite staying in a "refurbished" room, the maintenance standards are shockingly poor: * Inoperable Fixtures: The patio doors are virtually impossible to open, and turning the shower controls requires extreme physical effort. * Missing Essentials: Upon arrival, the wall-mounted shower dispensers were completely empty. * Broken Amenities: The ice machine on our floor was out of order, and the room telephone does not work at all. * Unresponsive Service: I made multiple attempts to contact front desk and guest services to get these basic issues resolved, but every single request went unheeded. Ambivalent Staff & Absent Leadership The staff here appears poorly trained, completely ambivalent, and utterly disinterested in hospitality. There is zero effort made to accommodate basic guest requests. Worse yet, hotel leadership shows absolutely no interest in guest recovery or resolving legitimate complaints. When management ignores failing infrastructure and frustrated guests, it speaks volumes about the culture of the property. Dining Disaster at The Fountain (Dolphin Hotel) The decline in quality extends directly to the dining options. We ate at The Fountain restaurant at the neighboring Dolphin Hotel, and it has taken a massive turn downhill: * Exorbitant Prices, Subpar Food: The prices are extremely high for what amounts to poorly prepared, cold food served in tiny portions. * Inedible Quality: I ordered the fried chicken sandwich, which was ridiculously "woody," tough, and completely inedible. Final Verdict Between the broken room features, indifferent personnel, completely absent service recovery, and terrible food value, staying here has been an exercise in constant frustration. Save your money and peace of mind—I highly recommend avoiding these properties at all costs.
Every time I leave the Swan, I just want to go back!

We had our second stay at the Swan in late July. In March, we stayed at the Dolphin. Both great. I love the smaller feel of the Swan, and their rooms are so nice. The lobby smells amazing. The bath and body products are a delight. (The Dolphin’s have a manly scent.) Wonderful service and housekeeping everyday. My 10 year old loves the Grotto pool. We haven’t ordered poolside service but have enjoyed the restaurant over by the Grotto pool a few times. We were traveling with friends. We had separate reservations and check in days and the hotel honored my request for our rooms to be placed near each other. 3 doors down. Got upgraded to a balcony with a view of the boat path to HS. Our room overlooked a little courtyard with fairy lights in the trees - So peaceful and beautiful. We were on 5th floor and could see a lot of the Epcot fireworks. Location can’t be beat for going over and dining at the Beach Club. We love to take the boat to HS and resort hop using the busses there. So fun to walk along the Boardwalk and ride the skyliner to enjoy the dining at the Riviera. Something I consider staying at other Disney resorts, but the price point of the Swan, the location, the atmosphere, and service can’t be beat. The only downside is their quick service dining is not great- limited options and pricey. However, there’s a new quick service location opening on the Boardwalk soon so hopefully it has good variety and kid’s meals.
Hidden Fees

We stayed at Disneys Swan hotel for 2 nights. We booked due to its proximity to Epcot and the Boardwalk. We paid in full when booking. When we arrived they asked for a credit card for resort fees. Normally when you pay upfront in full all fees are paid for at the time of booking. We were charged $50 per night plus taxes on both of those nights. We have stayed at many Disney hotel and love the free parking aspect. This hotel (as well as the Dolphin next door) charges for parking. I told the front next representative Disney properties offer complimentary parking as it states on the app. He informed me this hotel is owned by the Marriot not Disney so they charge $40 per night plus tax. This doesn’t make sense since this Disney hotel offers free shuttle busses and early entry so I’m not sure why the free parking wouldn’t apply. They never sent me an invoice at checkout so I had to email them to see why I was charged an additional $100 on top of the $197 ($50 x 2 nights $40 x 2 nights and $17 taxes and additional fees). I disputed the additional $100 with my credit card seeing there was no explanation on the invoice. $200 extra fees that were not disclosed when we had already spent over $500 is crazy. We wouldn’t not have booked here had we known it was going to cost us an additional $200 on top of what we prepaid. We will not be staying here again seeing Disney offers many cheaper hotels without hidden fees. I will say the hotel was very clean and smelled nice. It offers a variety of food options. However we have stayed at value Disney hotels which we feel offer the same atmosphere.

Currently staying in room 744. Hotel is definitely Old and showing its age. Furniture is very well used and has not been replaced in quite some time. Bathroom has no fan and outdated light switches. Low ceilings in this hotel as well. When it rains middle pane of windows steam up leaving us unable to see out the window. Full TV Menu does not work…cannot access room folio or Disney channel. This hotel does offer transportation to parks, however from MK and Animal Kingdom we had to go to regular parking to get the bus and not where the other Disney buses were accessible. Leaving us with a much further walk when exiting the park. The one positive in our stay was the great housekeeping service. Overall very disappointed in this hotel. #disneyswan
Best stay ever at the Dolphin

Andres at the front desk made our trip so perfect. He mingled and joked with our family at check in —- but the #1 best thing he did was ask “what most important to you during your stay.” My daughter said the pool. Andres moved our room to a room on the bottom floor right next to the pool, like a 1 min walk to the pool with a patio. He could have just plopped us up in a room on level 20 like 15 min walk to the pool. This one decision by Andres made our trip perfect. Thank you Andres!!!
