Promises well but does not deliver a deluxe experience

sola123 (Toronto, Canada) on May 10, 2025

The location of these Marriott Swan and Dolphin is perfect for Epcot and Hollywood studios. I used the complementary bus services and boat service over my stay and got to all my destinations easily. For sure the Swan is the quiet sister, and a perfect location for sola traveler looking not to get swept up by the families and the action at the Dolphin. The room was very clean, and the service friendly. But, in terms of a deluxe resort, they promise well and deliver poorly, which is a bad omen for any place: 1. The "balcony" room had a balcony, but if faced an inner courtyard, which offered 0 privacy, so not worth the extra money. 2. This was a "deluxe" room and there is an additional "resort fee" but the room is very basic, and yes you have access to a pool but that is about it from Marriott. In fact this deluxe room had far less than others for less money. No clock in the room, (I asked at the front desk and on the phone, and was told I would have a clock delivered, but it never arrived). 3.Bath robe but no slippers, none of the usual bathroom extras like Qtips, or cotton balls unless you ask for them. It seems cutting costs in room amenities is the new management way. 4. phone in the room did not work the entire trip, reported each day but nothing done. 5.Pool is self serve for towels, and the bar is open some days but not others, so there is no way to know if and how to order food/drink by the pool. 6. No water, no fountain or water bottles near the pool? Only 6 pool umbrellas so if you need shade it is iffy. No staff attended at the pool for the four days I was there. The only deluxe I see is the price.

Good for conventions, not for families.

Zaira S on May 01, 2025

Booked this resort because my kids were impressed by the looks on our previous trip. We had high expectations, considering the $500 a night rate, plus fees. The buildings are huge, but the rooms are very small, specially the bathrooms. We are very tall and could not fit without hitting a wall in the bathroom. The food is very expensive and not good at all. We ended up walking to the nearby hotels for better food. We also expected to see more families, but instead there were mostly adults traveling for a convention. They took most of the hotel space, specially the lobby, it was loud with people drinking, so not family friendly. Felt very awkward being around so many people in suits, while we were vacationing in shorts. I cannot recommend this resort for a family vacation, but only for a business trip.

Fantastic Disney Marriott Resort

Kirtsen K (Tarpon Springs, Florida) on Apr 28, 2025

Wonderful stay at the Swan! We typically stay at the Dolphin once a month, but this time we found a great rate at the Swan, the Dolphin’s sister resort, and decided to stay here again. The Swan offers a quieter atmosphere — perfect if you prefer a more relaxed vibe without a large, bustling lobby bar. The rooms have recently been updated with new flooring, and unlike the Dolphin, the Swan features queen beds instead of doubles, which we really appreciated. The location is fantastic, within walking distance to Disney’s BoardWalk, EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios. As a Marriott Platinum member, I also love that both the Swan and Dolphin consistently honor excellent upgrades. Thank you, Disney Swan, for another great stay!

Nicer “Disney” Hotel & Convenient Location

JANRI77 on Apr 20, 2025

This was our second time staying here. We are a family of 4: 2 adults & 2 teens. We did a split stay: 3 nights at Port Orleans Riverside and 2 nights here. We coordinated our Park days to take advantage of this location, which is walking distance (or a boat ride) to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Highly recommend the boat. We never waited more than 5-10 minutes. And the ride over is about 5-7 minutes. The hotel itself is Westin level and very much has a resort feel. Checkin was fast. And we were able to get a room right away (11:30am). Never had to wait more than 30 seconds for an elevator. Multiple pools, restaurants, and fitness center. We ate at the Cabana pool side restaurant. Service and food were good. The hotel room was freshly renovated. Very clean and modern. Light and bright. Quiet. My only criticisms are 1) there is no fan in the bathroom, which seems crazy for a newly renovated room. It was very steamy and took a while to dry out and 2) as others have mentioned, sadly the beds are not the usual Westin quality. They were very firm and more uncomfortable than lower end Marriotts I have stayed at. Even with these small criticisms, I would definitely stay here again. The location, cleanliness, relaxed vibe, and luxury feel are worth it.

Lovely location but shame about the bathroom standard and size, plus other issues

Caroline C on Apr 17, 2025

Great Location and lovely communal areas , But That’s Where It Ends The Swan Disney Hotel is in a fantastic location—close to the parks, great views, and easy access to everything. Sadly, that’s about the only thing it gets right. The bathrooms are tiny and very dated—I’ve had more space and comfort on cruise ships. Definitely not what you’d expect at this price. We paid $12 for a fruit salad by the pool, and after a long wait, all we got was a bowl of melon. No variety, no effort, just overpriced disappointment. When I asked for a duvet cover for my daughter’s pull-out bed, housekeeping dropped off the duvet and cover separately and left them on the bed—as if we were expected to make it ourselves. Despite the website claiming the pools are heated, all of them were freezing. And we weren’t the only ones complaining. Room cleaning was basic and always late in the day. When it did, it was very basic—certainly not up to standard for a hotel of this caliber. The most frustrating part? The hotel doesn’t seem to care. It feels like they know they’ll stay booked because of the Disney name, so feedback and complaints are met with indifference. Would not stay here again, and I wouldn’t recommend it unless you only care about location and are willing to accept a subpar experience.
