Swan

Cjhick on Jun 29, 2022

Overall our stay at the Swan was amazing! The rooms were excellent. Mr. Michael, the bellman was AMAZING! He was always so helpful and knew the answer to all of our questions!! The only downfall was the restaurants aren’t always open everyday, it seems they alternate days/hours.

Amazing location and vibe

heatherp771 on Jun 21, 2022

I loved this hotel and would definitely stay again. I was doing a solo trip to the parks after a work trip and loved taking the swan boats to and from Epcot and Hollywood studios. Just made the trips more special. Also right off the swans at Epcot is the sky liner. On my last day the boats were closed due to incoming lightning so I walked from Hollywood studio and that was a lovely 15 minute walk. The shuttles to the other parks were easy too and after leaving magic kingdom at 1 am I was pleasantly surprised to see the Swan shuttle right there waiting for us. The hotel itself is so pretty and the staff is very helpful. My original room had some noisy neighbors through an adjoining door, so I just chatted with the front desk through the app and they found me another room and changed my key without me even having to go to the lobby! Amazing! I’m a Marriott silver elite member and used points for this stay but I’d pay cash too after such a great stay.

Location and Price could not be beat

waimea2vail_12 (Irvine, California) on Jun 14, 2022

We stayed here for 4 days in June as part of a Disney / Universal vacation. The location of the hotel cannot be beat. Walking distance 10 min to EPCOT back gate, 15 min to Disney Hollywood Studios, adjacent to Disney Dolphin (shares amenities), 5 minutes to Boardwalk, Yacht and Beach club. Water Taxis are available right outside. So many food and shopping options between all of these resorts and quick access to two parks for early morning entry guests. 4 pools, mini golf across the street and half the cost of the official Disney resorts but still on property. It is run by Marriott so the only things different are Magic Bands will not work on site and the Disney Bus to MK will drop you at the TTC rather than the MK gate so you will need to take the mono rail. Rooms are by Westin Disney Planning center on site to assist with everything. Great assortment of restaurants (Kimonos and Il Mulino are the best). Sup clean and everyone was helpful. My go to for now on.

Great Stay for Our Family

H1201NUandrewp on Jun 13, 2022

To preface my review, I was really nervous having read the reviews from other guests' recent stays but was pleasantly surprised to find our experience was the opposite. We arrived on Thursday and our room was ready a couple of hours before the 4PM check-in. The check-in process was smooth and took no time. Lobby was nice and we did not smell any mold or strong perfumes that would mask it. Our room (2Queens with Resort View/Balcony) was up to par with our expectations. The view wasn't great (mostly blocked by trees) but we were there for the theme parks and not to enjoy the balcony. Room was clean and didn't have any issues that were deal breakers (sink was a bit loose and bath tub had a chip but neither bothered us). Didn't smell any mold as others complained about. Room service times were pretty variable but I think this hotel probably struggles with staff shortages as most other businesses around the country are. Bus service to Animal Kingdom was fine. Boat to EPCOT was convenient. We walked over to the Disney Yacht Club for the bus to Magic Kingdom based on a recommendation we found in another comment as it takes you directly to the gate as opposed to making you take the ferry to the gate. The Disney "office" in the lobby was helpful in getting our passes set up and answered our questions so we didn't have to deal with anything at the gate except scanning our passes in. Resort fee is a bit excessive since you don't get a whole lot out of it. The parking of $32 a day (with in/out privileges) is a bit high as well but we saved money on parking at the theme parks by taking the hotel provided transportation so it balances out. Overall a pleasant experience.

Avoid - this hotel has lost its Disney Magic

ascot1London (london) on Jun 13, 2022

Sorry to have to report that having stayed at this hotel many times over the last 15 years it has now lost its Disney Magic. Whilst its location is hard to beat it now run by management who have lost all connection with their team and the reality of the standards they are delivering. Whilst run under the Marriott brand don't be fooled - the standards are way short of the basic Marriott Brand never mind the WESTIN label that this hotel carries. The rooms are filthy, the housekeeping basically over worked and none existent - when they do ‘clean’ the room they replace sheets with new ones that have semen stains on them from previous guests. The restaurants close without notice, breakfast serivce is cancelled without notice, the buses are no longer Disney Transport but just hotel charters that drop you miles from the park gates (you can avoid this by walking to the Boardwalk hotel next door and using their proper Disney Buses) Sorry - have to say AVOID. There are better options around now Sad but true - the magic has gone …
