Perfect location

Nice hotel, in the perfect location for visiting Universal Studios. There is a shuttle bus which takes you to Universal and we never waited more than 5 mins for it on either side - it was usually already waiting! This hotel is also located a short walk to Volcano Bay. The pool was great and a lovely temperature. Apart from the tablet gadget in the room, the room/bathroom felt very basic. A personal choice but I found it odd we didn’t have duvets (even thin ones). The bedding is almost just like 3 sheets on top of each other. We liked visiting the Urban Pantry for food, it was nice to go and eat away from the busy parks and felt like a chilled atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

We easily booked our stay for a mother daughter trip to Universal Studios Florida. The hotel was modern and well equipped. There was a nice pool and rooftop bar. There were adequate dining options. The beds could have been more comfortable. The mattresses were a bit hard and lumpy, in my opinion. The problem I had came when my adult daughter got sick in the park. We were seen in the first aid department and security helped us back to the bus stop in a wheelchair stating that he would contact the hotel to meet us at the stop with another wheel chair to help us to the room. On arrival, there was no chair. Other passengers wondered where the chair was and went inside to ask. It didn't arrive. I texted the front desk because they initiated a text stream on check in and someone replied they would be right out. Another bus came for pickup as my daughter was lying across the bench, and still no chair. I finally had to leave my daughter at the bus stop to go in and ask about the wheelchair and after I asked, the wheelchair was on it's way out. We made it back to the room. I believe my daughter's glasses were left during her evaluation in the first aid tent. We didn't realize until the next day as she spent the rest of the first day and most of the next sleeping. I contacted the front desk to ask how to contact the first aid station and was given a link to Universal Studios.... I ended up figuring out how to get to their lost and found website and filling out a claim form, but this was a really unhelpful move. I wanted to make sure we didn't need to make a detour back to first aid if they didn't still have them. It wouldn't have been hard to figure out who they belong to since we completed paperwork and were the only ones there before they would have needed to clean up. Anyway, as long as you don't need anything outside of your room key, it's a great place to stay.
Fantastic time in Orlando

We stayed here for a week whilst visiting Universal, Disney & SeaWorld. The hotel was modern & spotlessly clean. We had one of the skyline view rooms which gave us a fantastic view of Islands of Adventure. Everything in the room is controlled via an iPad where you could also contact reception & order room service. The urban pantry downstairs was very nice & okay priced. Starbucks also went down a treat every morning. 10/10 would recommend as a base for the parks.
A good base for theme parks.

This is our 3rd stay at a universal hotel and overall, we enjoyed our stay with some minor concerns. The hotel has a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere than others, which was perfect for what we wanted. The staff were excellent and always helpful. Had an issue with the a/c on our first night, and after discussing with reception, it was promtly fixed and no other issues for our stay. It is a modern hotel so maybe less fun than the other resorts. The hotel is very clean however since our last visit to universal I notice some of the hotel areas look tired and in need of attention for example the tables and chairs in the sitting areas on the rooftop and pool bar require replacing and were damanged or stained. The major plus for this hotel is its promimity to Volcano Bay, such a short walk. As with all universal properties, it is very easy to get to the parks by bus, boat (at saphire) or walking. The food area in the hotel is very convenient and we enjoyed everything we ate there. We also felt the portions were generous. We felt it was very overpriced initially, but realised quickly everywhere seemed quite a bit more expensive for food and drinks. We rarely drank in the hotel as the soft drinks and alcoholic drinks were overpriced. There was a small fridge in the room that was helpful for stocking up on drinks. The rooftop bar is nice with lovely views. Overall, it is a good base for visiting the parks at a reasonable price. Just a note regarding rooms as I had noticed comments previously about sound. We had guests on either side and did not hear anything, we were also 2 doors from the elevators and it did not bother us however, the ice machine was outside the door and was very noisy. I considered requesting a room change as there were guests using it at 3am. I would recommend requesting a room at the end of the corridor if you are a light sleeper.

First time staying here for my annual HHN trip, already booked Aventura for next year. We had the standard 2 queen room and stuffed 4 people in there with 3 suitcases, worked fine for us. Very convenient hotel for Universal. Easy walk to use the Sapphire Falls water taxi, which run until HHN closed. Calm hotel, not a lot of children. Quiet, calm pool. Starbucks in lobby. Good dining options, breakfast croissant wasn't great though, I would avoid that next trip. Room was clean, beds comfortable. Housekeeping came everyday, even folded my pajamas. Response to request for items was great. I was trying to get the robot to deliver my items, but always got a person. The smart controls in the room were convenient. I was excited for the bar on the roof, but found it actually to be a bit boring, not much happening up there, but the views were great.
